Like the other reviews, I have been to this salon many times. Primarily for hair services. Overall the salon is nice and a definite respectable place. I had a favorite hair stylist that I found at JC and when she left them I followed her. Besides finding my great stylist, it does have a sense of rude staff and detached management. They have a burn and turn attitude so that they can get the most people in and out for quick profit. As a Sarasota Native, I know there are much nicer, more enjoyable places in town.

I have gone to several salons in the area and have been extremely disappointed. I have long, wavy light brown hair. I was looking for a color that would tone down my pinkish tone of skin and Dave colored it the PERFECT deep brown. I am so in love with my haircut too, he really takes the time to listen to you and I swear I will NEVER go anywhere else. I booked my appointments with him for the next 12 months!

I was a customer at John Carl for many years. Even after I moved over 70 miles away I continued to go there. The drive got to me and I had to find somewhere closer. I miss the salon desperately. The expertise, knowledge and product are second to none. The owner still sends me the product! I make a call, they take my order for shampoo and conditioner and mail it to me. You cannot find some of his products anywhere. I love John Carl and I miss them terribly.

Just returned from getting a manicure/pedicure. Great experience. I will become a regular there.
