Very happy with the services provided by Spa Hollywood. Love the atmosphere. Very professional staff and friendly as well. I will definitely return.
This was quite a while ago, I am only writing now because I am looking for a new stylist and am considering spa Hollywood and it reminded me that I never reviewed my experience getting a spray tan. The woman who did it was very very sweet, however, the tan was so light, that the next day my husband asked me if I had cancelled my tan appointment! I did not have time to go back as my event was that evening, so I used bronzer which is a mess. Meant to call and never did. I still am going to give the salon a try with my hair. I like the way they answer reviews and sincerely seem to want to make things right. By the way, I am Deb Macchi. I guess this is my husband's account!
Although I have been to Spa H a few times for massages and mani/pedis, they have totally lost all of my business. When I got to the salon, I explained that my hair has a hard time holding a curl, but with enough product it will hold and I REALLY wanted a lot of curl. The stylist explained that she had done hair for weddings at the Ritz & Hyatt so it wouldn't be a problem and went to work styling my hair in a "waterfall." My first clue that something was wrong was when I had to point out that curls were starting to fall while I was still sitting there. She told me it was because they didn't set as long as the others and recurled them. I got home about 2 hours before my party and within an HOUR my hair totally fell. I had next to NO curl left and half of my braid had fallen out as well. Needless to say I was upset. When I called the salon, the receptionist said that everyone had left for the day and she couldn't get ahold of the manager. I ended up spending $60 to put my hair in a ponytail for the party. When the manager did call me the following Monday she tried to give the excuses that it was humid (71%) and this stylist had never done my hair before. At no point on the phone did she ever truly apologize for the problem or even sound sympathetic. When I hung up on her, I felt that she was saying it was MY fault for having someone do my hair that had never done it before. I have been in A LOT of weddings and I have NEVER had my hair style fall out before, and none of those ladies had touched my hair before that day. As for the "humidity," I was inside the entire time, except to and from the car. And even then, I was always under the impression that stylists take these things into consideration. Clearly not at this salon. In the end, I did get my money refunded but at no point did I ever get an actual heartfelt apology. Lesson learned, Spa Hollywood can't style your hair, unless they have already seen and styled it before. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Honestly had the manager simply said," I am really sorry this happened. This is clearly not up to our standards. Why don't you relax with a massage on us." I would have been perfectly happy. But to not even get a simple real apology shows that they really don't care about their customers.
Spa Hollywood is outstanding. You will love every minute. The staff is friendly and there is no gossiping going on, they are totally focused on you! The staff is also trained in all the latest techniques, you leave looking great. Ask for a free makeup touch up! Their hair care products have been a lifesaver for me. My once thin nasty hair is full and fabulous. I love Spa Hollywood!
I've had multiple services here and always walk away with my expectations exceeded. I'm treated like gold from beginning to end and walk away feeling pampered and relaxed. I recommend Christy as a hair stylist and Erika for massage.
