Simply Serenity Medi Spa Orland
Reviews
Salon abruptly closed 2 sessions into my laser hair removal. I had referred a few friends here as well. We all paid upfront for our services. In December, we got an email saying there was a "dispute" w/ the landlord & the spa was "illegally locked out". We got 1 update, a week or 2 later saying we would be updated asap. Two months later, still waiting for an update. Have sent several emails. Contacted the person that I had my appointments with, was told that the spa would reopen in February...Still waiting!!!!!!!! No mention of refunds either. The person I had for my sessions was FANTASTIC- very nice, friendly and made me feel comfortable. BEYOND disappointed with the owner. Ready to seek legal action if Spa doesn't open by February, and we don't receive an update or refund offer.
Purchased a, Living Social I believe it was, package deal for laser hair removal on a large area, in this case my back. It's 8 visits' worth and I've used 5 of those so far. The salon itself is very posh and upscale-looking. It has 2 comfortable waiting areas. Staff is stylish and professional when greeting you. I've never had to wait too long at my appointments. They also have a slick text message and email-based appointment reminder system, the latter of which can export to a number of calendars. I've had laser hair removal before in Naperville and in Water Tower Place on Michigan Avenue and am pleased that Simply Serenity's laser has been both the most comfortable and most effective of any of the three. What felt like hot rubber band snaps at the other places is more of a pleasing constant heat sensation at Serenity. SAM is also my favorite esthetician to date. She's very personable, friendly, and, bless her, was able to dry shave a few areas on my back that I couldn't get to nor bother a friend to tend to in advance of a couple appointments. Very satisified. Highly recommended.
I purchased a Groupon for here. The ladies that did mine and my daughter's nails were very friendly. The place was clean and relaxing. The only problem I had with it was that there were only 2 nail techs and it was difficult to actually work out an appointment that worked for us. When we did get it, it was a pleasant experience.
I am having laser hair removable done at Simply Serenity Medi Spa. I went there 4 times so far and I always had great experience. They are very professional and do precise job. I would definitely recommended Simply Serenity for any hair laser removal.
I purchased an Amazon Deal coupon for a Spa Pedi and No Chip Manicure at Simply Serenity Medi Spa in Orland. I was given an appointment of 5pm on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. First of all, I called to ask them if they were located on the south side of north side of 143rd street. They told me that it was located on the north side of the street. I knew it was close to where I was coming from (headed eastbound). When I reached LaGrange, I decided to use GPS. At that time, I called again and asked them where they were at as I was now late for my appointment. They finally confirmed that the "spa" was located within a mini-mall where a Walgreens was located. This happened to be on the south side of the street. When I asked the receptionist why she said north side, she said she was not aware what side I was coming from.. that should have given me a warning. By the way, buildings do not move from one side to the other (of the street). So, I was taken in, they took my coupon, and I was asked to sit on a couch. I sat there picked up a magazine, and observed two other customers who were in the process of getting their no-chip manicures finished. I only saw the two stations, but there could have been more. I sat there until about 5:30, at which time another woman came up to me to tell me that there was not enough time for both services, that I would have to pick either the manicure, or pedicure. I expressed how I was unhappy that I was not told this when I made the appointment. They told me that hours had changed, they did not understand how I could have been given this (by the way, the hours on the door indicated a close at 6). OK, so I opted for the no-chip manicure. The lady took me to the nail colors. I asked why she was taking me to the regular nail color and not the no-chip. She expressed that there was not enough time for a no-chip manicure. I then questioned why I should have to settle for a regular manicure when my coupon was for a no-chip and pedicure! This place is not a place I recommend to anyone. I am requesting a full-refund on my coupon. I have used several in the past and have had very nice experiences. However, I was extremely disappointed with Simply Serenity's service.
