What a disappointing experience and an expensive ($150) lesson to learn. Skip the Dermalogica peel. It didn't work and I was told it was because I had such lovely skin (not). When I complained the charming person on the phone READ the brochure to me. I had never seen this brochure as I called for an appointment. As a first time experience, it was my last. I'll tell everyone I know. It would have been cheaper if they'd given me the refund I requested.
I have always been going here for spa treatments.....NEVER had a problem with any service. They have always been outstanding. BUT my only problem is the staff that works at the front desk.On my last visit which was 10/7/2014. The lady who check me out was RUDE and never answered my question to why my gift card would not work. I have emailed and even faxed the company to ask why my gift card would not work. STILL a week later no reply/answer. I really hope my next trip I don't have the same experience.
I have had facials by Kate Morris and she does an awesome job. I have had many facials by others at other places and they can not come close to the facials she have performed!
I have gone to Spa on the Avenue many times and I was always pleased with the way my hair looked when I walked out of there. The hair stylist(Athena) was fantastic and was always a pleasure to go to. She makes you feel welcomed and will listen to everything you say about what you want done to your hair and will make great recommendations. If something won't look right or the colors won't go well together she will tell you too:) I would recommend her to anyone that would go there!!!!!! WITH THAT BEING SAID....I highly dislike the staff at the receptionist desk. I have never felt welcomed by them and they make you feel like you are "putting them out" if you call or come in and ask a question. They are always too busy to help you and give you the feel that they are "exhausted" when they finally help you. This was not my experience with one person nor one experience, this happened with multiple staff members at the front desk and many times. I honestly cannot say that I have every received great customer service from the staff. The disrespect that I received when I was returning a call that I got from them was completely unnecessary and rude. When the girl called back and left a message, she rushed through the whole message and was not friendly at all. When I talked to her I would have expected her to be professional not to say, "I don't get what you are calling about" or "Why do you have to come in that late, you can't get here sooner?" It is sad that a FANTASTIC hairstylist has to be in the shadow of the the disrespectful front desk staff that is booking her appointments. After all, they are the face of the company and I would expect the face of the company to be pretty!
Went for the first time today on a recommendation. I wanted to cut 6in of my hair and totally have a new style which is pretty bold for never visiting this salon. I was in and out in under an hour and I love my cut. She did exactly what I asked for as well as making suggestions...what every person needs since we are not the experts. Stevie was great and I will continue to go back. Wasn't as pricy or cheaper than some of the other salons I have visited, but they were worth every penny.
