I've really enjoyed working at Cullen Bay Day Spa the past 10 months. The clients have been wonderful and management & staff have made my job easier with the regular training & support I have received to offer better service and advice in all aspects of Beauty, Massage & Cosmetic treatments & products. I am going on overseas holiday for 3 weeks and I look forward to returning and helping my clients relax with massages and to look and feel fabulous with our amazing skin care treatments using BABOR, ZO skin health & Jane Iredale mineral makeup. I would also like to clarify review by Stuart Burris 10 months ago ( which I've just seen) , regarding cost of a mini facial which I performed on him when I first started working at Cullen Bay Day Spa. I didn't know the prices and he didn't ask me, if he had the Receptionist/ Manager would have clarified the price for him. The Manager asked me what was said to the client in order to clarify the situation ( as is normal management procedure in order to help the client find out the truth of what was said) and I advised I hadn't said a price as I didn't know (the price for the mini facial was $50 and the client said I had said it was $15 and then wanted to only pay $15 for each facial because he was a local and should be given a discounted price after receiving the treatment, which I did not think was fair and to impose that on my Manager & neither did my Manager). My Manager believed me and advised the client accordingly which the client refused to accept.
What a wonderful location overlooking the water and fabulous staff! We went for a pedicure and were offered biscuits and cakes plus continuous cups of tea.The owner was lovely as well as all her staff, we felt very welcome. I recommend this as a must do if you are in Darwin.
I would like to thank the staff at Cullen Bay Day Spa for one of the most enjoyable mornings I have had for a long time. I was treated like a princess. The professionalism of the staff and the relaxed ambience of the salon ensure a memorable experience. I look forward to my next appointment. Thank You :-)
Arrogant and rude manageress. Beware, no respect for customers or her staff. We arrived 15 minutes early as advised by our voucher. We were told quite rudely by the manageress that she was 'still cleaning'come back at the appointment time, we werent even able to wait inside, we had to stand outside! The staff were great but obviously one of them misquoted the cost of two facials and we were told to pay more than double the quoted price after the treatment. The manageress was angry and rude toward us and openly condescending to the young lady who made the mistake, yelling 'what did you quote'? 'what did you quote'? but in obvious fear of consequences the girl couldn't admit to it. Who can blame her really. Arrogant and rude manageress would have behaved even sillier. Our advice is - treat people with respect and decency even when issues arise and STOP BULLYING YOUR STAFF!
I agree with previous comments - very unprofessional, avoid and go somewhere else. After booking facials, which needed to be pre-purchased as 3 in order to get the special, I was subsequently told that the treatment was not suitable for me, and the manager proceeded to do a different facial, then processed the payment which was for 3 treatments all in one go. I walked out with a treatment that did nothing, and did not consent to having all of the money for the 3 treatments taken at once. The service by the manager is unethical and unprofessional. Very frustrating experience.
