This is a review of the restaurant patio. We arrived at 1:50 in the afternoon, so the lunch rush was well over and thus, expected prompt service. We were seated on the patio overlooking the river... nice location! The menu looked decent enough - a fair variety of dishes from which to choose. The waitress was very pleasant, but it turned out also very slow. We had been seated for approximately 20 minutes before she came to take our order. It took FOREVER to get our food - we didn't receive our food until an 70 minutes after we arrived. There were seven of us - nobody complained about their food, but nobody had anything positive to say about it either (I guess that means theirs was just average.) My french onion soup, on the other hand was terrible. It was much too salty and had a burnt or rancid taste. The cheese appeared to be just thrown into the soup (and it appeared to be a slice of process cheese, as well.) The bread served with the soup was supposed to be crusty bread ( which I presumed would have been french bread with french onion soup) but instead, a thick slice of tasteless brown bread was included (with no butter.) Price was $6.50 for a small bowl of this briney, rancid-tasting soup. When I voiced my displeasure to the waitress for making us wait so long for this inferior food, all she could say was that the cook usually had his act together when they were busier. All tolled, it was an abysmal dining experience. If I could rate it on a scale of 1 - 100, I would give it a 5/100 at best.
