****Very Disappointed*** After completing much research on this place I chose it to be the place I would take my dear friend who has been recovering from a serious illness. I booked well in advance based largely on the lovely pictures and positive reviews posted on the internet. Can I just say....I have no idea how this place got such great reviews...I wonder if they have bee manufactured? My experience: We arrived after a 40 min drive from Pickering to a home that looked just ok, certainly not what I would expect to be called a "manor" but I kept an open mind. We entered through a back door labeled "spa" to a small porch-like room, my heart sank a bit when we were seated in a pair of small uncomfortable old chairs. My heart further sank when I realized that there were no facilities for the day spa that one may expect, like a change room, robes, slippers etc. After filling out a long questionnaire, one of the staff indicated that all the services would be done in one room, both my friend and I would have to share as the other rooms were not heated (?) We raised concerns about this as normally spa services are done individually. Then they proceeded to tell us that the spa lunch which was to have supposed to have been part of our package was not available. When I asked about the beautiful waiting rooms depicted on the website, I was told that was part of the main house which we were not allowed access to. This was to have been a nice relaxing spa experience, instead we were offered a bargain basement disappointment. We ended up leaving in tears. If you are looking to be pampered with a spa experience, please take a miss on this place despite some good reviews. Consider yourself warned: It does not have ANY of the facilities that someone would expect in a decent day spa experience such as: change rooms, showers, robes, slippers, relaxing waiting room between services, spa lunches or a host that actually cares to offer its guests the services included in package they list on their website. What a waste of a drive.

I was planning a special weekend of relaxation for my wife. I booked the room and a spa treatment for both of us to enjoy, expecting that my wife would much appreciate them. Little did I know, the experience we had was nothing short of a fairytale. She described her experience as feeling like a princess in a castle. Not only that we had a relaxing time there, but we also got to chat with our host, Lisa. She is kind, friendly, and an amazing cook. The experience is very memorable and we would highly recommend Uxbridge Manor & Spa to our friends and family. This is a Hidden gem in the town of Uxbridge. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is wonderful and I received the best services ever. The Hostess is a great cook, and loves to pamper her guests. She is a master in the hospitality department. I would recommend to anyone to visit. You will be amazed at this jewel.

My husband and I spent a wonderful, relaxing couple of days at the spectacular Uxbridge Manor and Spa over New Years. Prior to arriving we expected a fantastic stay, but ended up having an experience that far exceeded even our expectations! We felt like roylaty in our exravagant accomodations, dining on the tantilizing gourmet meals that were prepared for us and completely forgot the cares of the world during our pampered spa services! We were also impressed by the uniqueness of how our hosts were able to provide such a professional, world class experience while at the same time making us feel so "at home" it was as though we were visiting life-long friends! Simply the best. The hospitality is 5 stars, the food prepared by our hostess Lisa has no words. The perfection and presentation was better then a 5 star restaurant. My wife and I had massages and facials to end our fantastic weekend, she is still talking about it. We recommend this oasis to all couples that are looking at having a romantic and relaxing weekend.
