Reviews
We spent three nights here this last holiday and the Boscolo Prague should be ashamed of their Category 7 Marriott rating. As a Platinum member (for Marriott and other chains), I have stayed at hundreds of hotels across the world and feel that I can make a good determination of the experience when it comes to hotels. I am compelled to post this review so as to warn other travelers of the Prague Boscolo and their lack of customer dedication. We do not expect to be treated as royalty when we stay at a property, but honesty should be something that is consistent regardless of a customers status. I am aware that Prague has a rather shady taxi system and one can expect to get ripped off the majority of the time when using them. However, when I asked the hotel to arrange a taxi for me and they provide a quote for what the fare will be with an assurance that if they call them, that is what we will pay, then I expect that to be the case. When we did this at the Prague Boscolo, we ended up getting charged 30% more than what the front desk/concierge had promised it would be. When we brought this up to them afterwards, they promised to follow up with us and we never heard from them again. When we asked for a fixed price car service for the airport, they quoted us a 100% higher cost than the one we ended up finding with a quick search of the internet. The hotel staff should let their customers know that the taxi business in Prague is shady. They should try and arrange for dispatching through the hotel to be at least within an acceptable range that they themselves personally quote and assure, or they should tell you that this may not be the case. The hotel staff should follow up with promises of feedback that they commit to and the staff should provide recommendations that are inline with their customers value in mind. These are the types of customer relationships that are expected of a Category 7 location and the Boscolo Prague is not qualified for this level of designation.
An excellent hotel with exceptional service. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, and further all spoke very good English. The front of the building and the foyer are beautiful (rooms are nice but I've seen better). Free WiFi at reasonable speeds. Buffet breakfast is very good but not cheap (€30 when I went in Feb 2014). The floors are quite large and there are stairs for some areas, however, the porters will take care of your luggage.
I stayed at the Boscolo in Prague for a week and it was amazing! It really is walking distance to the main town square and also has a really attentive staff. The Spa was outstanding with an Amazing indoor pool with 2 waterfalls and a couple whirlpools. I had a great stay there and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants a first class experience in Prague!
Just to see the interior decoration and design what they made out of an old bank when banks were still the temples of fortune. Go and have a look.
Although the place looks amazing, the vault cigar bar was a huge dissapointment. No service, dried out cigars and they offered a discount on them while they were broke after the first inhalings
