Mercure Hythe Imperial Hotel, Spa & Golf Club

This is a good hotel that has had its day and is worn out. Downstairs has been recently refitted and looks great, but upstairs is not so good. Rooms are oddly shaped, the heating is spotty and the spotlights outside shine through the curtains. I stayed in 6 or 7 rooms throughout my stays and some were better than others. But it is in a great location, with the beach just 2 minutes' walk away, and the meals they serve in the evening are particularly excellent. The breakfast buffet is good but not spectacular, though if you order separately you get some really good food.
Great place for relaxation with pool and sauna. Only a walk away from the seashore for a nice view. Hotel in some areas feela dated, you can tell with the small lift.
Tried to phone reception to notify of postoning my arrival I hung on for over 6 minutes and did not get a reply This is one star service, and I will review again after my stay
Stunning location, great room and super people.
AWFUL PLACE. Spa area tired and dated. Sauna and Steam room both not working. Try anywhere else can't be any worse.
