Fort Jadhavgadh

Awesome property... Must visit once in life.. :-*
My family and 3 other families visited jadhavgadh on 21 jul'13. We were 12 of us and reached there around 12 noon after visiting Purandar Fort. The location is exquisite and it was a wonderful experience overall. The property is vast with very good landscaped open areas all around. The best part is that the old rustic charm of the fort is preserved very well even in the new additions. On the flip side, the waiting for lunch was too long (a good 1 hour). All in all, it is a good place for a day outing. One suggestion for the management is that the south side maintenance area should be properly cordoned off from view of the visitors as it is an eyesore compared to the beautifully landscaped open spaces.
On our trip to India to visit family we stayed one night at the Fort JadhavGadh Hotel. We all had a great time having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the countryside and hiking up the hills behind the fort. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Photos are not allowed in the museum or I would have included a few. The museum has many artifacts used in the daily life in india of the period. The museum guide was excellent and gave us a thorough understanding of the items and how they were used in 1700 through early 1900 India. Definatly reccomend to anyone wishing to have a relaxing and peaceful stay outside the city.
Place is okay but could have been better. Rooms are okay. AC doesn't shut down. & it was supposed to be eco-friendly. Food is bad & uninteresting. Service is unreliable & non existent some times. Very costly considering what you get (or don't get). Not worth the money & time. Please avoid.
A place good to spend a day and leave. Not worth to stay overnit.
