Comfort Hotel Square

Location is perfect ,right middle between station and piers . Staff are nice and warm . Breakfast is fantastic and diversity, for me, it is like norigien and western mixed ,so makes me feel much comfortable . Free coffe and tea in lobby ,that is really helpful. For the room ,fit but not narrow ,designated and clean I would like to stay again if I visit here in rhe future
I love art. And I love places that embrace art. It's about daring to be different - it's about standing out from the crowd and making something unique. I'm usually not much of a hotel person. But the hotel I stayed at earlier this week, was a hotel I really wouldn't mind visiting again. It's called Comfort Hotel Square and is located in the city centre of Stavanger in Norway. The hotel had a minimalistic urban style. Graffiti everywhere and funky paintings and prints. The lobby was gorgeous and so were the hotel rooms. My room had a very similar style to what I've been looking for in flats for years!Simple, gray concrete walls with marks and holes; dark brown furniture and warm yellow cupboard doors; red, brown and white textiles; heavy brown curtains framing big windows as low as the floor; deep window-sills you can sit in; a big, soft bed; massive artwork above the head of the bed; sliding doors of foggy glass to the bathroom - which has rectangular dark brown and cream tiles, many massive mirrors and a sandy brown rectangular sink! WANT!
Quite fancy and modern interior. Very central positioned.
The newest and most chic hotel in Stavanger.. However don’t expect any kind of service unless you ask for it.. -Then you will get it, maybe even with a smile .. The lack of service is probably due to the lack of proper training of the young and highly inexperienced staff… Despite the flaws this hotel is probably the best choice for your stay in Stavanger: Location: 5 min walk (down the stairs) to the pier and the core of the city center… The rooms: Dark, relatively small, minimalistic and with an artsy headboard…-As the rest of the hotel themed in black, grey and pink colors… The breakfast: -The breakfast is good... –Fresh bread, cold cuts of meat, cheese, fish and fresh fruit. –Bacon & egg free on request. The restaurant: Pros: -The food varies from very good (for the price) to decent (probably depending on the chef). When you are there I strongly recommend you to try out the espresso and the Pale ale (bottled local Stavanger beer called: Lucky Jack)…Smashing good stuff! Cons: -Poooooor service: -The kids running the restaurant in the hotel honestly don’t know the concept of service… Expect the following: -Ask for the menu, ask to order, ask for bread, ask for water, ask to order, ask for the dessert-menu and ask to pay… Furthermore don’t be surprised if the waitress forgets what you ordered, that she can’t find the wine (the only one they have) and that no one ask you how the food was.. -The service is better in the local gas station down the block… The gym: -New and good equipment, -bring your own music… A kind request to the hotel manager: -Please do the hotel and the staff a favor: Give the staff some proper training and take them out for a nice dinner so they get an idea of what service is about…Room for improvement? -Certainly. Cheers, From a five week customer, fall 2010
Overnattet et par ganget. Lite og trist interiør. Kjedelige grå murvegger.
