CaraVail's Med Spa
Reviews
Amy Camp is the best Esthetician that I have ever been to. She is always able to accommodate my skincare needs and she is extremely acknowledgeable on the products that they sell at CaraVail's. I am so happy that I have found a great place with a wonderful staff to go to and most importantly I am so comfortable going there!! I highly recommend!!
I had a negative experience at this spa last year. It is not very often that I give negative reviews, but I was just so displeased with this experience, and felt I was ripped off. Even over a year later, I'm still ticked off that we wasted our money at this place. My husband's Mother's Day gift to me for my first Mother's Day was a massage and pedicure at a spa. I was SO looking forward to it. While I did enjoy the massage, and the massage therapist was friendly (although a bit chatty as I was trying to relax) and did a great job, the pedicure was a disaster. At the time, they were offering a "special" which allowed you to pay the price of a regular pedicure but "upgrade" to a "spa pedicure", which was supposed to be an hour and fifteen minutes in length (according to their website) and also included a "heel and foot recovery and calf massage." I opted for this special. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The girl who did my pedicure barely spoke to me and acknowledged me, and the ENTIRE pedicure lasted about 35 minutes. Not even as long as the standard pedicure was supposed to last (45 minutes according to their website), and CERTAINLY not 1 hour and 15 minutes long! I am certain of this, because I kept track of the time. Also, the "spa pedicure" did not include the "foot and heel recovery and calf massage." It was a very basic pedicure at best. I have paid $20 for MUCH better pedicures at a very cheap local nail salon that I have been frequenting for many years. This is inexcusable. For the price that you pay, this spa is a complete rip-off. My feet were in the same condition that they were when I arrived, not smooth and soft like they are supposed to be after a good pedi. And trust me, I have had MANY good pedis over the years! To make matters worse, they offered me only a glass of room temperature water, no ice, that I am pretty sure they had gotten from the tap in the bathroom! Not pleasant. Lastly, when I went to pay for the pedicure and massage, they had the nerve to try to charge me for the original price of the "spa pedicure," when it was supposed to be on special! I had to persist and nearly argue with them to get them to honor the special. I couldn't believe that the lady who did my pedicure could in good conscience say that she gave me a "spa pedicure" when she did a 35-minute half-way job. Worst pedicure I've ever had in my life. I cannot stress enough - don't go here. We worked hard for that $100+ that we wasted at this spa. DO NOT go here! Just take my word for it!
I am a college student at Auburn University, originally from Atlanta GA and have had many facials and massages in Atlanta; but Caravails facials and massages are by far the best I have ever had. The staff is extremely sweet and accommodating they are quick to offer water or coffee and the therapists are fast and efficient about taking you back for your service! The aestheticians really care about my skin and have helped me get my "finals week breakout" under control!
A++++ awesome experience..beautiful spa
