Serenity at The Beach Salon & Spa
Reviews
Definitely recommend this place. We got our hair cut by Christina who was very nice and she did a wonderful job on my hair. I told her exactly what I wanted and she followed through. Atmosphere was relaxing and the service was great. You won't be disappointed.
Went to this salon with a couple of girlfriends to "pretty" up before our holiday. The salon looked pretty nice, but looks can be deceiving. My friends had their mani pedi's done first as I waited. When it was my turn, I should have went with my gut instinct and just left. Why? The nail technician was trying to reuse the tools that she used for my friends on me!! That is beyond disgusting! Who knows how many people she works on before she decides to open a new package of disinfected tools!! I asked her about it, and she just laughed and said "It's clean. don't worry!". Being the pushover that I am I just went with it so as not to ruin our girl day. Well I should have just left because two days later, me and my friends ALL have infections on the bed of our nails. It's now cracking and bleeding and hurts like hell. So unless your "Serenity at the Beach" includes a painful infections on four fingers that requires antibiotics I suggest you all stay AWAY! On another note, I don't believe that these other reviews are real. If any salon owner cannot spend ten cents to sanitize their tools I don't see how their salon can be rated any higher than a one star.
My Daughter and I had our hair styled and colored, pedicures, manicures, facials, and 2 messages during our stay in Gulf Shores. The atmosphere, staff and quality of service were absolutely wonderful. We also purchased many of the Aveda products to take back home with us. We will definitely be going back to this terrific salon and spa. We did find our Serenity there.
