Salon Tranquility And Spa

I tried this salon, despite having a regular stylist, because my mother had a coupon and suggested I tried a specific stylist here, who had cut her hair for quite a while. My focus is color, not so much cutting, and the two times I went here (a year apart), I was not happy with how my hair turned out, and was charged quite a bit (plus generous tip for her time and work). I figured with the extra year of experience since I had gone last, she would do a better job on my hair...or at least get it close to how I wanted it. I was VERY specific on how I wanted my hair colored, and $105 later (plus very generous tip), I went home with SUPER dark underneath, NO visible low lights as I asked for, and even though I liked the blonde she did on my hair, it literally looked like my roots/growth had not been colored...like I hadn't even gotten a retouch, and covering my roots is THE POINT! When I called to make an appointment to fix it (a few weeks later after lots of thought and trying to live with it), I explicitly described what I needed fixed. When I came in for my appointment, she told me that "we were trying not to damage my hair, which is why we didn't bleach the dark roots much" and "with a weave, this is how it's going to be" (that the roots wouldn't be colored much, would be a more subtle look or something). I have been getting highlights for over 12 years, so I'm very familiar with highlighting, bleaching, coloring, what I like, and how it should look when it's done! The stylist said, that because these weeks have passed, it's time for a whole new retouch/color (meaning full price, starting over...instead of FIXING IT!) I'm very, very disappointed because I had confidence in her, thinking she would honor my dissatisfaction and at the very least, offer a great discount to fix it and do it how I wanted to begin....but nope, she didn't. Needless to say, I didn't go in for the new appointment she pushed me for... why should I pay another $130 in half the time of when I should be getting the new color/retouch, especially when she didn't listen to or honor my dissatisfaction. I'm very disappointed and disheartened by the poor customer service :( So now I get to search for a new stylist and pay full price...again? I could barely afford to get it done in the first place! So, at least with Amy, she puts effort in, cuts hair well, but has never been able to get my color right... even though I've gone to complete strangers before, told them how I wanted it, and gotten it PERFECT! I don't appreciate being told, in so many words, that I don't know what I'm talking about...when I sure as heck do!
