Silverado Resort and Spa
Reviews
WOW! Some of these reviews were obviously written pre-renovation. While it was once getting a little dated, our recent stays in the remodeled rooms have been fantastic! Great new rooms are like small custom homes, very comfortable, very elegant, simply fantastic. The staff has always been top notch, and the food is eclectic & excellent. The reworked North golf course is truly deserving of hosting the PGA tour, as it did this year. The South course is still a gem, and a ton of fun to play. I can't speak for the spa personally, but my wife came back looking (and acting) like a million bucks. We've been there 4 times this year, and we always leave planning our next visit. Great place, so convenient and perfect for our family of golfers and wine connisuers,
The resort was nice. If you are into golfing then its great. Many of the rooms were a far drive from the main building and it reminded me of a convalescent home. We upgraded out room to the sections around the mansion, and were near the boor and the breakfast area. Their check-in time is late afternoon, so don't plan on getting your room till then.
Great location and overall setting. Some of the rooms feel very 1980s while others have been updated. If you get an updated room it is very nice. But definitely feels like a golf country club. So if you are there for something other than golf, expect everything to be very spread out. I imagine this place is really good for families as there are a lot of pools and things for kids to do. I enjoyed the spa and had a top notch facial from a very well trained person. Overall I recommend this place, but if you are looking for romance- I prefer the Poetry Inn
I stayed there Tuesday 2/3/14 of this week, Unfortunately I experienced considerable problems with the internet/wifi system....to the point that I had to seek out a local coffe shop to conduct my work at the end of my day 9pm (as you can imagine a ride into town to find wifi was not part of my plans). Then returned to my room only to find out that I only had 11 chanels on television. Yes I contacted the front desk regarding both situations (they were very pleasant about it) but not what I would expect from an established RESORT. The front desk manager did say that by May they should have the problems resolved ????? I presume the resort fee covers "other" items? Would enjoy a valid response to my experience. PS... This is the 1st time I have ever comented online.
Paid $212 a night, worth every penny. This is no five star facility, but best bang for your buck.
