Vichy Springs Resort

Evening was plesent. great servies, clean resort,
OVERPRICED but A REALLY NICE PLACE My wife and I stopped in to the resort with our two kids (4 & 11). The grounds are really beautiful. The large Hot Tub is open until 2:00 AM and heated to a perfect 104 degrees. It is set in a beautiful creekside nook. You must go over a wonderful vine covered footbridge. The champagne soaking tubs which are fed from a mineral spring are wonderful as well. Although they are only 90 degrees they are loaded with minerals and the Lithium makes you feel lovely. Mellow and positive. There is also a lower set of tubs and an outdoor but covered natural spring that is loaded with mud which we were able to exfoliate with and have a blast playing with. We had to coax the kids out after a long time. The rooms are ok. but we expected much more for our $350/night rate. Warm, clean, and basic but nice. We stayed in the creekside rooms. There seemed to be nicer cabins available. My biggest complaint was the internet. HiSpeed Wifi is promised but definitely not delivered. This was frustrating as none of our devices was able to even check our Google Maps to continue plotting our journey. The continental breakfast was mediocre at best. Some real basic fruits and cakes. Some hard boiled eggs, basic coffee (no natural sweetners) and that was it. The saving grace for us and what would make us return to this Hot Spring Resort was the owner Gilbert. He was an interesting guy with lots of great information regarding the areas history and the history of the property. We would definitely go back, but would negotiate hard for our rate. I would pay $179/night for this type of place.
Awesome
We stopped there last year expecting wonderful things based upon the reviews. The outdoor tubs were filled with rust and who knows what else, the rooms small and the air was filled with the sound of gunfire from the nearby firing range. Not a place for a tranquil holiday.
