Longmont Athletic Club

Filthy, outdated machines, broken machines, poor air circulation, poor lighting. I feels like they purchased their equipment at yard sales and threw it in a room and call it a gym. This is not a place I feel I could get healthy. I only got the creeps!
This is an awesome gym. I really don't understand what all of the complaints are about. Between the two locations there's everything you can imagine including 24hr access. You guys should check it out yourself before listening to the negative comments, it's been great for me.
The only reason I go is for the Jacuzzi, which is excellent. Generally kept nice and hot, with very strong jets; great for sore muscles. Twice now, I've asked the front desk clerk, "Is the Jacuzzi hot?" or "Is the Jacuzzi working?" and both times the same answer. "So far as I know." And of course I get changed into swim trunks, go back, and it's out of order. You'd think the front desk people could be a little more pro-active as far as knowing what's actually going on with their club.
The indoor tennis option is the only show in town but it is not well lit and has a run-down feel. With a little attention and maybe exploring a way to add more indoor courts this could be a rockin' place for the Longmont tennis community. Come on LAC, step up!
I joined this club to get into shape but also to get to know people... Over all the people are very nice, but the getting in shape thing isn't going so well. I am seeing new people join all the time but more and more classes are canceled. So then what else is there to do? Go for a swim? The pool has been having issues for months now. Exactly what did I sign up for? If more people join doesn't that mean more money to put into the business?
