Edge of Paradise Day Spa

I have a facial every 6 weeks bc I have problem skin. I recently moved to the area and started having Vickie do my facials and my skin looks AMAZING. She is professional, prompt, nice clean room and very relaxing. I bought the mud mask to use at home and the product has been great. I found Edge of Paradise via a recommendation from a friend.
I came here for my first leg and brazilian waxes on 5/9/14 and it was quite the experience! First of all I got there around 6:30 unaware that they close at 7 and Vickie still took me! She waited until the previous customers were done and then took me a room, explained the process to me before jumping right in. She went slower and made smaller patches on the more painful areas and did her best to distract me with conversation to make the experience as pleasant as possible! Although waxing turned out to be not my thing I am definitely coming back for a massage sometime! But if waxes are your thing, first timer or pro, ask for Vickie! You'll be glad you did:)
I had a very nice facial at this spa. I was very relaxed and my skin felt wonderful!
My massage was alright by all means. Not the best I've had but worth the $75 which is a cheaper price then going to a resort here in Destin. If you like nice spas I would recommend paying the extra $30 to go to a resort in Destin/Sandestin. During my massage all I could hear was the cheap 90's cd player spinning and I listened to the same song for the whole hour. It just kept on repeating itself. They didn't use any aromatherapy oils, just cheap massage lotion. The facility looks old and the massage therapist's phone kept going off (total of 3 times) which was quite annoying and unprofessional. Her gym bag was all over the place too which didn't make it feel like a "REAL" spa. Overall the actual massage was alright and worth the price but the atmosphere just was not what you would think to be as a spa.. more like an old fashioned tanning place. Weird.. If you want to save money go here for a massage. If you are looking to relax and make it an all day thing, pay the extra money and go to a resort!
At my most recent visit to Edge of Paradise spa, I was pleasantly surprised with a new therapist. With strong hands, wonderful demeanor, and silent during my therapy. I find it hard sometimes as a traveling business man to relax on cue, but have always found it comfortable and peaceful inside the Edge of Paradise spa. I recommend it to anyone who needs a quick break.
