I've stayed here two years in a row and going on the third this summer. I got engaged in this hotel and then stayed here the following year for my beach wedding. They were great at helping us with discounted rooms for wedding guests. This is a beautiful resort!

awesome place to stay

Silver Shells is a beautiful resort: well designed, built and maintained. There are many amenities: located in the center of everything you would want or need in Destin; beautiful grounds; professional management personnel; excellent fitness and cardio facilities; tennis and basketball courts; indoor pool and whirlpool; spa and Ruth Chris on premise; private cabanas at the pool to rent; a bar between the pool and beach; and complimentary indoor parking and beach chairs; and much more. The 2 and 3 bedroom rental units are roomy and comfortably appointed. We chose our 3 bedroom on-line and like this convenience. The unit was accurately represented on their web site. Our balcony overlooks a large tropical pool framed with lush lanscaping as well as a stunning private white sand beach. This is our first trip to Destin. We have traveled extensively and owned homes in several cities in Florida. Destin is one of the best vacation destinations. Silver Shells met or exceeded our expectations.

We came during the off-season which starts in September and really enjoyed it. The only problem was that we could t find a room that didnt have twin beds in the extra room. Perfect for kids though. Great pool and beach area.

Just another noisy, drunken hangout for Spring Breakers. Called guard shack 4 times and they never showed up to address our complaints. DO NOT come here with family!
