Gainesville Medical Centers
Reviews
I started going to Gainesville Medical Center when they first opened. I had pretty much the worst allergies of anyone that I know of... pets, dust, pollen, weeds, mold, basically air... I had to take allergy pills constantly, making me drowsy and spaced out all the time. I really liked the more natural approach they had to treating my allergies, not just another drug! I have had great results from the allergy treatment and now have basically no allergies! Now when the rest of my friends and family are struggling to make it to the next Kleenex box, I am doing great. Then I tell them to go to Gainesville Medical Center : ). The staff have always been great, personable, and easy to talk to. They have always had flexible scheduling and get you in and out quickly. So if you are living the "Kleenex life," give them a call and liberate yourself already!
I had been experiencing a bizarre medical problem for months! Hopeless and fed up with my doctors I decided to get allergy testing of my own accord. I was referred to Gainesville Medical Centers. From my initial consultation I could tell the doctors there were different. Instead of being dismissive, they actually listened to my recollection of symptoms. I feel that my doctor genuinely cared about helping me get better. All the doctors I had seen prior gave me a battery of tests, could not figure out what was wrong from my negative results, and sent me on my way with steroid creams to alleviate the symptom. Meanwhile, they only got worse. After explaining this to the allergist, she recommended a patch test. Come to find out that I am allergic to the very medicine my previous doctors had prescribed without a proper diagnosis. I am so grateful to Gainesville Medical Center for figuring out that my medicine was making me worse. They also were able to refer me to a top dermatologist in the area to try to get to the root of my problem. It has been almost a month since I have had symptoms after seven months of unexplained pain and discomfort. I would recommend Gainesville Medical Centers to everyone with potential allergy problems. I am beginning to feel like myself again and I owe it all to their expert medical care and compassion.
Words cannot describe the attentiveness care I received at Gainesville Medical Centers. I was struggling with multiple allergies in the area and decided it was time to get them addressed. I was shocked to find out that I was allergic to multiple airborne allergens and GMC explained how I would benefit from seeking Immunotherapy. Needless to say, its been about six months since I've been seeking additional treatment and the entire process has been extremely beneficial to my body! I highly recommend any and all individuals who have been dealing with airborne allergies to seek professional advice from GMC. You will see progressive results and will thank your body for years to come. For those interested in finding out their food allergies, Gainesville Medical Centers has an extremely detailed test which will cover over 150+ food allergies. I have been able to modify my diet for the past year, based on those results. Through this specific process I have been able to lose weight at a faster rate and I have noticed an exponentially positive impact towards my overall sustained energy! Please do your body good and visit GMC. Its a win-win result!
Felt like a scam! I was there for maybe 45 minutes. The staff were hurrying to get out to go to Applebee's for lunch. The gentleman who took my vitals didn't even know how to use the BP cuff. I am a nurse and had to show him. They just did a quick skin test. They said I had no allergies. (I did allergy shots for 5 years and have been on allergy meds for 15 years.) My insurance paid for it, so I only had a $25 co-pay. But they charged my insurance company $2100!!!! For 45 minutes! Did not seem legit at all!
As a Registered Nurse, I was shocked at the lack of professionalism at this facility. The staff seemed rushed even though no other patients were there. They don't bother with actually assessing the patient's condition prior to treatment (I don't think they even own a BP cuff or thermometer). They rush in with a syringe and an alcohol swab, not even bothering to wash their hands or put on gloves, and rush back out again. This place is a malpractice suit waiting to happen. Strongly advise seeking treatment elsewhere!!
