We are planning to get married here in 6 weeks. So far the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY HORRIBLE and we haven't even gotten through the wedding yet. So where do I begin..... So upon calling the Hilton to find out pricing and to set a date, we were told the amount without sales tax. Which is just dumb right off. But trying to reach someone or anyone, whether its the wedding sales dept. or accounting, you can forget!!! So back at the first of June we contacted them wanting to schedule a time to go and check out the place as well as making the final wedding plans. I called about every other day but I didn't get ahold of someone until 3 weeks later and 2 days before we were initialing coming. The day that we were there, we were quoted a price that was left after the down payment(keep in mind, that the price with sales tax was still never quoted to us). A week later, I called accounting to make sure this price was right. They quoted me a new price that was $600 more then the price a week prior. After a break down of pricing, we found out that $1000.00 was to be paid up front to ensure that we didn't exceed over the amount of people in our package and that we would get that refunded back to us that Friday. If we already know we aren't exceeding over our limit, then why still charge us for that amount only to turn around and refund us back????? This is uncalled for and ridiculous. I received an email after on July 7th, asking me if I had any questions. At the time I didn't but two days later I did. I emailed them on the 9th and 10th and I still haven't heard from them....shocking. I refuse to call and blow them up when they clearly know that we are trying to get in touch with them. I do hope the wedding and reception exceeds our expectations, cause right now, we are not happy with the continuous price difference week to week and the HORRIBLE CUSOTMER SERVICE. If we could get out of our contract, we would. And with the amount of money we have paid, my fiancé couldn't even get them to throw in one day of a round of golf......... So if you think about booking your wedding here, DON'T!!!!!!! It's not worth the price and hassle.
After staying here last year, I can say the quality of service has most certainly declined. This time around, we were met with poor customer service (not enough staff, unfriendly staff) and disorderly facilities. The room we stayed in was rundown. It needed new carpet and furniture, not to mention the low quality of the furniture (my ass sunk to the frame of the chair). There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, and I could tell the room had not had any real cleaning for awhile (just the change the sheets and clean the bathroom 30 minute deal). One of the sheets actually had a piss stain. Whoever is running this place is running it into the ground. We love Destin and previously thought this was the sure place to go. P.S. The Melon Bomb is from us.
My fiancé and I recently stayed here. The pillows were horrible and the toilet paper could be upgraded to the toilet paper used in the lobby. I kind of wish there was more of a kitchenette in the room. I thought the food and drinks were a little high considering the amount of money you pay for a week stay at the hotel. I loved having access directly to the beach, the pools were nice, plenty of sun and shade. We enjoyed the beach, however charging for 2 chairs and an umbrella is ridiculous!!! I am staying at YOUR hotel the least you could do is offer chairs and an umbrella for your guest. We also had several issues with our room key not working, very frustrating! A few people at the front weren't helpful. The concierge, Melle, was extremely helpful!!! She was a joy to talk to and offered lots of information. We enjoyed our stay and will be back to visit but more than likely spend our money staying in a condo.
Here for a meeting. Temp outside is in low 60. Conference center temp not able to adjust. 90% of the attendees complained, with no help. Rooms clean but over priced greatly. Toilet was leaking in the room and took 2 calls to just find out if someone was coming to service it, finally after some time and water all over the floor a gentleman showed up.
I was very disappointed with Hilton's customer service. I was given a different room from what I reserved. Because of this problem, I asked for a different room, but I was ignored and given a terrible room. This trip was the worst trip ever experienced. If there were no rooms available, we should have been given an excuse of some sort, but we were ignored. We sent an email about this problem, however we were not given a reply. We wanted an explanation, apology, etcetera. Because of this, we are very disappointed in Hilton's services.
