BUYER BEWARE. My friend recently got married, and found Images Salon when she searched online reviews for salons in the Lawrence area. Initially, I had an appointment at a different salon, but after speaking with the bride about cost, (based on a price quoted by Images) I decided to get my hair styled at Images instead. Big mistake. I was talking with the stylist about what I wanted her to do to my hair, and I asked for confirmation that it was $50 for an updo. The stylist advised me that the cost was actually $60 for an updo. I then explained that I didn't want to spend that much, so I would just have her style my hair. I told her that my friend received a price quote of $18 ($9 for a bang trim, $9 for my hair to be flat ironed or curled). The stylist seemed to immediately become defensive and irritated, and advised me that an updo/style are the same price. She also informed me that the credit card would be charged regardless. First of all, I'm not sure how an updo costs the same as flat ironing, or even curling someone's hair. I was in complete disbelief, as the situation was unexpected, and nothing like nothing I've ever experienced. The stylist asked if I wanted to talk with the manager, which I did. I explained to the manager the situation, and that my friend was quoted something entirely different. I even showed the manager the text message from my friend which contained the pricing information she obtained from the salon. The manager simply stated that the quote was incorrect, that they didn't give my friend that price. I'm not sure how my friend would have just come up with that figure on her own, but the manager also told me that the credit card would be charged regardless. It's a difficult situation to be in, as I didn't want to pay a price that differed (greatly) from what was quoted, but I also didn't want to have my friend get stuck with my bill. I also didn't want to cause a scene, or stress out my friend on her wedding day. At that point, I felt bullied into having my hair done at this salon. It also made for an awkward situation between the stylist and me as well. I wasn't even pleased with the finished product, and no, it wasn't because of what had happened prior. The bride's hair was no better. Her stylist curled her hair, and then brushed it out. That's it. So, she also paid $60 for a hair style that she or I (or almost anyone) could have done to her hair for free. Not to mention my the bride's hair was frizzy after it was "styled". Her stylist also rushed her. When my the bride was trying to explain how she wanted her hair styled, the stylist remarked that her next appointment was going to be arriving. Why would you schedule wedding hair so close to another appointment that all you have time to do is put it in rollers, and then brush it out? Our other friend also wasn't happy with her hair, and even explained that to her stylist. The stylist didn't seem to care, only asking what my friend was unhappy with. My friend explained to her what she didn't like, and the stylist basically told her she needed to "go with it". She of course also paid $60 for her hair. When we went to pay, and I was asked to pay $60, the bride was confused, and was asking why the amount was different than what she was quoted. Again, I didn't want to unnecessarily stress out the bride, so I told her we'd discuss it later. In a nutshell, I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. It was poor customer service at the very least. I would think most places would be interested in trying to do what's right, and if they didn't honor the price that THEY quoted, they would at least work with me some on cost. Instead, they wanted to split hairs (no pun intended) over $40. So, instead of a glowing review, I'm advising people to steer clear. I can honestly say that I've never been treated this poorly at a salon. If I could, I wouldn't give the salon any stars. You've been warned.

I have been to this place for over 2 years now and have had excellent experience. I was always complaining about the places I went before. This place cannot be better. I have done so many different things there such as skin care with Cindy, haircut and hair color with Christina. They both are great. Images is my favorite place to go in terms of service and people.

Worst hair cut ever had! Didn't do what I asked them to and when I commented on it my stylist got very upset with me and made me very uncomfortable. Don't know maybe they were having a bad day but i will never use this place again!

This place seemed great online and has gotten some good reviews, so I made an appointment here instead of my regular stylist who was out of town. I went in to my appointment with pictures of the hair color and cut that I wanted and had to wait an hour before anyone told my stylist that I was there. She never came to see for herself, thinking I was a no show and took her lunch break instead. When I finally got to see her, I showed her the photos and she got started. Everything went fine until she was finished. My color was almost exactly the same as when I walked in. I asked for and showed her red hair, when what I got was brown. She also forgot that I needed it cut and sent me to pay before she was done. I had to ask her twice to cut my hair before she remembered, she then proceeded to give me an awful cut that looked nothing like what I asked for. Then when I washed my hair 24 hours later, exactly as she instructed, all of the (wrong) color she put in washed out and went down the drain. I got out and dried my hair to see that not only was it still an ugly cut, but it also was my natural color except for bright red roots. I went in the next day to complain and ask for my money back ($64 is worth fighting for) and was refused in a very rude manner and told that unless I let them try again, they wouldn't help me. I made this appointment at the time that I did because that is when I needed it done, I don't have the time to let them try to fix what should have been done correctly in the first place. I will not let them ruin my hair again, this is ridiculous. My mother emailed the owner to complain too and I received a very rude, sarcastic email the next day from the owner about my mother. This salon is unprofessional and does NOT know what they are doing. I will NEVER go back here again.
