The Face & the Body

Got a massage from Chris at Brentwood. It was very good. No complains. The reception and booking process was awful. They ignored my phonecall, put me on hold for over 20min and never got back on the line. It took me over 40 min to make an actual appointment. They were rude.
Upon arrival and a short wait for a receptionist to get off the phone, I was told that I didn't have an appointment because in January their computers crashed and they lost of few appointments... The receptionist didn't bother to apologize, but instead told me that she didn't have time for me today and decided to offer me the next appointment available, which was more than a month away. I told them that was unacceptable and she started looking for a different appointment! I requested a refund of money paid and left.
I was given a gift certificate to The Face & The Body and I have been trying for months to book an appointment for Botox. They have offered me appointments on several occasions and then put me on hold only to come back and say those appointments aren't actually available. I have been trying to spend my money there, but they can't seem to find any convenient times AT ALL for me to make an appointment. The person who performs the injections only works every other Friday and Saturday. I shouldn't have to wait a month before I can get in! Crazy! It's just bad business to not have such amenities available more consistently. I Will Not be going there. I'd rather pay full price at my regular spa than dance around their schedules to use a gift certificate.
The reception staff is poorly in need of a pep talk or anything to make them friendlier to customers. The owner was rude at the Brentwood location - making snide remarks about her hair stylists. No wonder everyone is quitting! My hair stylist left the Brentwood location and I found out from them, but it was the week of my appointment and Face & Body did not even call to let me know! It would of been a wasted trip and they would of charged me for canceling in 24 hours. I visited the O'Fallon location because of a gift card for a facial. I told the woman I have sensitive skin and I am allergic to sulfates. She assured me everything would be fine and that she would not use their products with sulfates in them. She was not only a liar, but rough! As my eyes swelled shut and my face puffed out, they just sent me on the way! No apologies, nothing! I raced to the doctor and two days later my face was thankfully normal again. I called and complained many times, but to no avail. I didn't want compensation, I just wanted my friend's money back for the gift card I used. NOTHING!
You've never had a spa pedicure until you've had one at the Face & the Body. I'm not sure why everyone is being so hard on the front desk staff. I am constantly greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. Most of the people know me by name. Don't go to those horrible 'fast-food' mani/pedi chains, because they will probably mistreat you and your feet. Do go to the Face & the Body and get treated like a princess. You're feet will thank you, too! I've been a loyal customer since this location opened, and these are the BEST spa pedicures.
