Atlantis Salon & Spa

Took my mom here for her birthday and we did not have a good experience. More than half of the time you supposed to be getting a massage, they leave you there with warm towels that quickly cool down.d
The letter I sent to Atlantis... Hello, Earlier today Wendy was in for her scheduled salon and spa day. I set this up as birthday present for her. As you know the appointment was cut short per Wendys request. This email will layout the reasoning behind the decision. Let me first express to you my impressions of your salon. To start, having the front door propped open, letting in all the various traffic noises of 48th and Nebraska Hwy sure seems like a counter productive thing to do. Especially if your overall goal is to provide relaxation. That coupled with the sounds of multiple little kids and Nebraska football really defeats any treatment a person might receive. If you're going to schedule someone for an Indulgence Spa Package I would think you could recognize the role atmosphere has to play. As for Wendy's explanation to me... It seems that the person who prepared the steam shower for her, explained what was available and what came next was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately they we not prepared to provide that service as there was NO shampoo, NO conditioner and NO body wash in the dispensers. If this is typical of the steam shower you might be better served by changing the name to steam rinse. After the steam shower came the facial. Wendy raved about the facial. Specifically said that the person who provided that service deserved the money for the entire visit. Please express my deepest thanks to that technician and let them know that if they decide to leave Atlantis Spa Wendy would be interested in being one of her first clients. Next came the hour long massage or 35 minute talk-a-thon as it has been described to me. Its absolutely ridiculous that Wendy fells that a massage from me would have been equivalent. I'm comfortable with her feelings about my massages and as I am unable to be all things to all people but I brought her to a professional... you failed... horribly. The fact that the technician ran her mouth the whole time just piled on and negated the work done by the facial technician. The end of the failed spa day was her manicure/pedicure. I should have known to walk away after Wendy asked about adding having her nails done and we were told the Nail Technician was off today. My question is who then did the treatment? Based on Wendys explanation of the service my assumption is that it must be the daughter of an employee or an intern or maybe just some random person off the street. I dont know the first thing about performing a manicure but I have seen a chick flick or two and know that it involves more than filing/painting nails. Pretty sure there are oils, lotions, hot towels and massaging involved. Apparently your definition differs a great deal. To add some comedy to the situation your "technician" didnt know how to assemble the throw away flip-flops. A customer, who oddly happened to be there to have her nails fixed, had to instruct the "technician" on the proper method. I don't know if this is a product of the manicure/pedicure being the last service attempted or if it was really as bad as Wendy says but right now Im sitting in a Legacy Nails in Omaha. Waiting as she has her nails repaired. So let me thank you for that. In closing I want to reiterate how important this day was supposed to be. This was a birthday gift from me to my recently become pregnant SO. Assuming you have been pregnant or have experienced that time with someone you should know how helpful, beneficial a day like today could have been, should have been. Michael
I've had waxes, massages and hair cuts- have enjoyed them all!
Lovely experience. My bridesmaids purchased me a gift certificate as a bachelorette gift to get my hair done for my wedding. My maid of honor couldn't stop raving about how sweet the receptionist was. They were so helpful! When I went in for my appointment, Kyle Pinneo was fabulous! He is a gem in the rough, always looking to expand the styles here in Lincoln. So many of my friends go to Kyle, come to find out. He really makes his clients feel enchanting and special. You will not find a better experience in Lincoln!
Danielle does such a great job. She even customizes the facial to you. I love how my skin looks afterwards and she is great to talk to during it. She makes the whole experience enjoyable. Including a shiatsu massage on your face, neck and shoulders. I would recommend this place to anyone.
