King Spa & Fitness

I love this place so much. I go every chance I get. At the risk of making the place too crowded, I suggest everyone go there at least once to experience it. This is listed as a gym but the fitness center part is only for members. The reason most people come here is for the spa and saunas. If you're like me and had never been to a Korean sauna before coming here, you probably think of saunas as those warm, wood-paneled rooms where you either sit in a dry heat or maybe have some steam. I'd never had a good time in one of those saunas, so I was skeptical when my friend tried to drag me here. I'm glad I relented, the experience is far, far better. With Korean saunas you get a variety of types, sizes, humidity levels, and temperatures. Each sauna here is made from a different material--mud brick, gold, gemstones--and there are often packs of aromatic herbs hanging inside. The sauna rooms have different shapes--some rectangular, some round, some big, some cramped. What tends to happen is that you find a type you like and hang out in it for a long time. That's what I do, at least. There is a wet sauna area. King Spa doesn't have pools like spa castle, just hot tubs and a smallish pool-type thing. There's a cold jacuzzi as well. Freezing cold. Each tub is at a different temperature and you're meant to go from hot to cold to hot so your pores get a workout and start releasing toxins. The best part about this area is the steam room. It is VERY steamy in there and the steam is infused with eucalyptus. Intense, but oh so wonderful. The wet saunas are separated by gender because they insist you go naked. This was weird for me at first. I got used to it quickly. It's hard to be too freaked out when everyone has to be nude. The dry sauna areas are mixed. I tend to spend 12 hours at the spa, and this is made possible due to the restaurant and snack stations inside. The kitchen makes amazing Korean food. Also, try the baked eggs. they bake them inside one of the super hot saunas. it's a trip. This place is actually open 24 hours and yeah, I have slept here. It's pretty comfortable thanks to the reclining chairs. There's nothing more wonderful than falling asleep after relaxing times in a sauna, then waking up and going right back into said sauna. Even though I live in Manhattan I come here regularly. There's a shuttle that picks up and drops off in Koreatown and Flushing. It's free and easy. Another thing to know is that they have an e-coupon on the website that knocks the price to $32. use it always. Every now and then they do a Groupon as well. The price of admission doesn't cover any services like body scrub, massage, mani/pedis, hip bath, etc. I have never paid for one of these myself. According to my friends the massages aren't worth the money but the body scrubs are. Bottom Line: this is an amazing place for being so affordable. If you want a relaxing getaway without having to go too far from the city, it's perfect. You can even treat it like a mini vacation by just staying there.
dallas texas is great for relaxation and special spa treatments. .love it. .i want this for my house.
IT WAS A HORRIBLE experience, thanks to the Spa's manager KEVIN KANG. King's Spa valet parking scratched my car and they didn't want to take any responsibility. I asked manager KEVIN KANG who will be responsible for that and what are they going to do about it. In response he started yelling at me, right into my face in front of other people. I didn't deserve to be treated like that after spending $200 at the spa on top of the admission tickets. We were planning to come back, but never again! If something goes wrong, they not willing to help. He actually offered me to fix it, and asked a valet parking employee who damaged my car to CLEAN SCRATCHES WITH WINDEX. Unbelievable, I thought it was a joke! But they DID it, they wiped it with Windex and asked me if I was happy now. We left humiliated and disappointed. WILL NEVER COME BACK!
All kinds of snores. Tried staying there over night. Big mistake. Couldn't sleep at all because of all kinds of snoring on earth in their rooms, nonstop, every room you go, disgusting. Not going to return.
King Spa means the owner is King for over all. We will surprise after use. King Spa hide billing to you. The shuttle bus to NYS is not free case by case. And never explained about billing system. After ride, the driver may ask cash. Sometime $5. Sometime $10. It depends on situation. King Spa claim you "Why did not ask price before ride?" even advertised customer as free. For example, If someone go to Korea and visit the bar will ask $400 for one beer. And if you claim to them about it, they will tell you "Why you did not ask the price?" Same thing happened to you at King Spa. Good luck.
