Peek'n Peak Resort and Spa
Reviews
This resort could be so much better, but they lack the manpower and the training to provide quality customer service. Last night my son was thrown from a lift right in front of the booth. I had to jump off the lift to hit the emergency switch. After I helped my son, reset the switch and waited for a staff member to appear from the booth, I finally walked over to the booth to find the man ASLEEP. He apologized to which I said "your only job is to watch the lift". At the coffee counter, which had no one staffing it, two people came and went never offering service. I left. Checking out involves standing in line in the freezing lobby for 25 minutes. Scott needs to invest in some proper management to upgrade simple services. Hospitality, food and beverage and SAFETY.
going on 15 years ago this is where I got my legs! I was here every weekend for 4 winters straight and now thanks to the peak I get to enjoy big mountain fun in wonderful colorado!
I have been to Peek n' Peak twice. Last year we loved it. This year was a much different story. The price went up by over $100 a night. When we entered the room it smelled heavily of smoke, especially the bathroom. The food at the bar and nicer restaurant was ok but the service at both were lacking. They never checked for refills on drinks or how the food was. The pool was very nice. The WORST part of the trip was the spa. Way over priced for poor quality services. They were extremely unprofessional and uneducated. I laid on a massage table while the girl went to get aromatherapy for over 10 minutes. When she returned she told me that she would not be preforming the service due to a medical condition. Then she finally preformed the massage and it was clear that she did not want to touch me. I have had hundreds of massages and it was the worst. I also did not get the full time. Then she had me sit in the locker room to wait for my facial. I waited for over 35 minutes until the manager came in and told me that they would not perform the facial due to the medical condition. I asked her why I wasn't told earlier and she told me that she was trying to respect my privacy. She was extremely rude, unprofessional and made me feel horrible and embarrassed. It was the least therapeutic spa experience I ever had. It was my bacherlorette weekend and I wasted a significant amount of time at the spa. I was very very upset. My friends received services and were not happy either. Finally we spoke to the manager of the hotel, Tony and he finally gave me a gift card for dinner because he could not believe the way I was treated. I would go back but I will never go to the spa! Don't waste your $$$$ at the spa.
This might be the best venue to have your wedding reception in New York! its so beautiful there! and the staff are very helpful! I absolutely love playing at the Peak! The banquet Manager (Paula) is super easy to work with! and shes on top of everything!!! DJ Henry GQ
