I like Gjoko for its ambiance and friendly staff although my last visit was not satisfactory. My regular stylist Donika has moved to Vision of Tomorrow (VOT) and the other stylist didn't do a good job so I had to go to VOT to get my hair fixed. Other than that, Elizabeth, the eyebrow stylist is great but I guess I won't be going there to get my hair done again.

Finding a good salon is hard, especially when you're new to the area. I passed by the salon one day, and it looked really attractive and upscale to me, so I gave them a call and set up an appointment. Even on a Saturday, the salon wasn't terribly crowded, and they took me within 5 minutes of my appointment time. Everyone was really nice, and my stylist talked to me without being annoying or taking up too much time jabbering instead of working. The haircut and blow dry I received was gorgeous, in addition to my color treatment. People constantly ask me where I go to get my hair done. My hair always looks fabulous and stays fabulous for a couple months (until it's time to touch up the color again). The service is consistently outstanding, there aren't any typical stinky fumes you'll find at most salons, and I always look and feel my best after leaving. The prices are very reasonable - cash and checks only though, that's the only downside. I can't imagine going anywhere else, even in NYC.

Got a terrible short cut somewhere else, but Gjoko saved my hair! He worked like a magician and shaped it right up. I went from feeling really ugly to really sexy. I will never go anywhere else from now on! Thank you!!

The title is not just a play on words, the hairstylist Luz was a ray of light (no pun intended) to my dull hairstyle! I have gotten plenty of haircuts but not the many compliments I received today from friends and colleagues. I have a tender scalp and most of the times I get a blow dry my scalp gets burned, no matter how careful is the hairstylist. This time no burn! I will gladly drive to NY (from Boston in 3-4 months) to get another cut.
