The Charles Penzone Grand Salon in Dublin
Reviews
I received multiple services at the Dublin & Polaris locations in preparation for my wedding day, and only 2 of them turned out well (my hair-do and eyebrow wax). I received an underarm wax and full leg wax 3 days before my wedding, and literally had to shave all of the missed areas the next day. I came in for a leg wax redo, where the woman seemed irritated, rushed, and didn't know why I was back (and failed to do the back of my legs or upper thighs). As I have blonde hair, it may be more difficult to see than other customers, but entire patches of hair were left (that could definitely be felt and seen). I also got gel nails there on my wedding day, and that same night, one of them peeled completely off. 5 days later a 2nd one peeled off. Next time I will go to Aveda or just do it myself.
I bought my wife a gift card for this place for Christmas last and just used it this month. she loved it. As a matter of fact, she wants another one for this Christmas. But of course she wants more money on this one.:)
I was very disappointed in the service I received from Charles Penzone. I was interested in booking an entire bridal party (bride, 5 bridesmaids, and mother of the bride) at the Dublin salon/day spa..the bill easily would have come to over $1,000. So you would think that they would be interested in my business! I wanted to do a quick (5 minutes) tour of the salon before booking just to get an idea of what the day would look like since I was taking my closest friends and family there. Instead, the customer service rep that I spoke with on the phone was rude, sounded confused about what I wanted, and couldn't be bothered to help me. When I tried emailing them, I was informed that they "didn't do tours of the salons" since they weren't sure "where the stylists would be sitting on the day of." Who cares?! I just wanted a quick overview! They also tried to rush me into booking by telling me that the Polaris salon was already full the day I was looking. Needless to say, I won't be booking my wedding day with them. I expected MUCH better service from an expensive, well-known salon like Charles Penzone. (By the way - I have been a customer at their Q Salon for 3+ years and love it...another reason I was greatly disappointed).
Wow. I bought my wife a pedicure and a manicure as a surprise. When she arrived she asked if she could get a broken nail fixed too - Charles Penzone charged the nail repair against the money I spent on the manicure and didn't even offer her the manicure at all. Would have loved to spend more on their overpriced services, but she was rushed out the door before she even had the chance. Won't be back and can't wait to tell everyone about how pathetic the service was.
