Acorn Hill Lodge

Exceptional experience all around! As an avid traveler I find no competition to the facility, ambiance, service and food for such an affordable price range in the southeastern United States. With multiple return visits I feel confident recommending this unique B&B. Whether it be leisure travel, a special occasion or business in the Lynchburg area this is the place to rest your mind and body for the duration.
Yum, that sums it up, a group of us gathered in the bistro after church today. The food is fresh and the staff amazing I will be going again.
Old fashioned hospitality. The staff were very helpful with our requests for forgotten odds and ends including printing some resumes for a job interview. The room was beautiful and the bed was most comfortable. Take advantage of the attached spa. The stone massage was awesome!
I recently had to travel to Lynchburg for a week of training with work. I was not excited to be in Lynchburg, but was more than pleasantly surprised with this gem of a place. My room was enormous, and the king-size bed was extremely comfortable. The food was delicious and plentiful. The owners are wonderful, and the innkeeper is a great cook. Absolutely loved this place.
I have stayed at Acorn Hill on multiple occasions. It is a huge, lovely home with attractive decor plus 2 out-of-your-room recreation areas. One is a living room setting with a TV. The other is a large basement area with pool table, ping pong table, exercise machines and TV. There are also a few, pleasant outdoor areas where you can sit and relax. One is on the wrap-around porch; another is an area of iron-wrought tables and chairs on a brick-patioed area under a vine-covered roof. There is also a relaxing setting down by the water where wooden seats are provided. The rooms have a private entrance, as well as, the central main entrance. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You can fill out a sheet the night before about your breakfast preference (pancakes, french toast, etc) or you can simply go to the breakfast room in the morning and have what they have put out on the buffet, as well as, cereals, teas, toast, bagel, etc. The breakfast room is available any time of day. They even had some gluten-free and dairy-free options for my son on a special diet. We were in Lynchburg to see Dr. Elizabeth Mumper (a WONDERFUL doctor for autism-spectrum disorders) and received a discounted rate from Acorn Hill since they have a special agreement for Dr. Mumpers patients. A local shopkeeper mentioned to me that Acorn Hill is by far the best B&B in Lynchburg. That is easy to believe. It is a lovely and pleasant place.
