Five Elements Salon & Day Spa
Reviews
I was planning to have my hair and my bridal party hair/makeup done at this salon. I filled out the contract on their website and when I went to have my trial up-do done. The receptionist gave me a contract already filled out by the manager which had the deposit due of over $200 more than I required. I tried explaining this to the woman and she refused to listen to me, and insisted I sign that contract. I refused and told her I wasn't signing anything until I spoke to the manager. All of this happened with other customers in line, and it was humilating. I did go ahead and had the trial, which turned out just "ok". I called the manager a few weeks later to talk to her about my experience, and she was in my opinion quite snotty and not overly apologetic. I decided based on her attitude that I'd look elsewhere...and I did. Who needs this kind of stress and drama when you're planning a wedding! Not me!!
i was looking for my wedding hair stylist and 5 elements came highly recommended. For my hair trial I gave her a photo of jessica alba with a low chingnon with braid crown, and i walked out with cornrows and a hot curling iron nightmare. it was embarassing. they also refused to come to the wedding venue to do my hair on the day of the wedding, saying that it is against the law in VT ( it isnt). I was really sad this place didnt work out. i came so highly recommended as the top spot in Rutland. i was so disappointed. Maybe they do other things well, i dont know.
