Salon Sase

I have been to this salon too many times to count, starting when I was a child, now I am in my mid-twenties. My sister counted on this salon to do hair and makeup for her entire bridal party. The day of her wedding was a blizzard. The owner of the salon moved mountains to open the salon to make sure my sister's day wasn't ruined by weather. That day my hair, nails and makeup were all done at this salon, and I was thrilled. The same was true for the rest of the bridal party. Every time I go to Salon Sase I feel like I get a luxurious experience for a great value.
I always got my hair done at Salon Sase when my older sister first introduced me there ever since I was 11! I still get my hair done and I would recommend Stephanie. She is absolutely fabulous with her hands when it comes to getting a trendy haircut! I love her. I usually come back to Salon Sase for my haircuts when I am back in town (I go to school out of town now). Doesn't hurt to give this place a try if you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere and a good cut at a reasonable price.
I booked my appointment for both hair and make-up for myself and hair do's for my bridesmaids on my wedding day. My hair appointment with Tannie went really great, she listened to what I really wanted and did a fantastic job. I couldn't be more happy. My brides maids weren't that lucky. One of them specifically asked for no up-do's, hair down, loose with curls and instead got some ridiculous looking bun swinging on her neck, which the hair stylist used over 60 bobby pins to hold in place! The thing was so heavy that it pulled on her hair and rubbed her neck raw. Needles to say, we had to re-do it at home. And then it was my make-up. It is hard to describe what I ended up with... I wanted smokey eyes, and instead got some extremely dark circles around my eyes, that looked like I had black eyes. Plus my eyelashes are very blonde, so when you apply mascara you really must do it all the way from bottom of my lashes to the very top. If you don't do it right, like my "make-up artist", I look like my eyelashes are floating in the air, not attached to my eyelids... We needed to fix that at home also. So, I guess it all depends who you get at this place, but I wouldn't recommend it at all. There's better out there.
I give them 2 stars for several reasons: first, I went with my mom and she had some acrylics done while I waited. Those nails came off a few weeks later which has never happened to her before at any other salon or "cheap place". Second, the pedicure set-up upstairs is not the best, crowded and roasting in a small room. The pedicure I got itself was just ok, my nails were cut way too short and were painful for about a week. While trimming my cuticles I was clipped too much and started to bleed. After the fact...I got athlete's foot for the first time ever, had an allergic reaction to it, spent a bunch of money on medications and doctor visits. I will never go back here. Try Entourage if you are looking for a great salon experience.
Not all Aevda salons are created equal. This salon lacks communication and customer service. I have been getting my hair done for 33 years and have never heard of or was informed of their "ala cart" services nor of the price of services prior to placing the color in my hair. They never dried my hair to see if the color took correctly, which it did not. Trust me go somewhere else. The owner was no help at all.
