Banff Upper Hot Springs
Reviews
took the family after a day on the slopes, great place to sooth tired legs and has a magical feel when it's -15 and snowing.
Nice and deep warm pool. I went in tourist season and was grateful to go later in the night when the families had mostly left. I didn't get to see the view but I can imagine this place is nuts during the day. This is a real gem and not to be missed if you are in Banff. It's clean and well maintained.
I lived in Calgary in 1975 and Banff Hot Springs stay in my memories. Even remember the sulphur smell. The springs cured my mother's head cold when she visited.
Since I live in the Calgary area; an hour drive into Banff to use these hot springs is a great attraction for a nice weekend getaway! I recommend going during low season as you'll have more room in the pool to enjoy yourself with the beautiful views!
While in Banff for another event, a group of 8 of us booked into the spa for a variety of treatments. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but was I pleasantly surprised! The front desk staff were very helpful and professional, the facilities were spotless, the steam room was amazing and being late on a Friday afternoon, the pool itself was relatively empty. Special thanks to Jenn, whose massage technique was second to none! Needless to say, I will be back again soon.
