Pillar and Post Inn & Spa
Reviews
We (and our dog) very much enjoy the Pillar and Post. The salmon at the Cannery restaurant is fantastic and they usually have some sort of welcome goodie. (For the doggie too) If there is a problem with the room -- it happens. It's a hotel. Other people use the room and break stuff -- say something as soon as you find it! They will fix the issue! The walk into town is also quite pleasant, but there's a surprising about to do on site -- aqua fit classes and beautiful gardens make it tough to leave the property.
We are one night, and they are received very good and very comfortable. We have for dinner a Caesar Salad and a burguer for two people and not is more expensive and the food are very good. Before at evening we stay on swimming-pool, water a little cold but no more, after we go to spa and the water it's more hot. In general are all very good and the people service very friendly.
We only went for lunch in the restaurant here. There was a brunch buffet. It was quite good. The omelette bar was excellent and catered to every request. The rest of the buffet included a very wide variety of food for a brunch buffet, fish, chicken, fruit platters were all available. Some of the options could have been restocked more often (there were no breakfast sausages when I went up). There's also an extensive dessert spread. Had to ask for water to be refilled, but the service was otherwise very good, although it wasn't very busy. The restaurant decor is nicely appointed.
Stayed at pillar and post room 215 bathtub had a huge chip in it tv reception was poor pass card for door only worked after several attempts in morning coffee maker didn't work fellow at front desk acted as if he didn't believe me he just kept saying really room 215 pillar and post described as 5star inn I am very disappointed and will never come here again hilton in niagara falls much better deal nicer rooms and better service
Wonderful hotel in a quiet location with superb indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a luxurious spa. There were several wedding parties using the hotel while we were there but we never heard a peep out of them, just saw gorgeous brides sweeping down the hallways. Our room was huge and very usable for 3 of us. Dinner the first night was exceptional. Breakfast the next morning was a disaster - the buffet was fully depleted by 9.15am and I had to stand and wait outside the kitchen door for 5 minutes with my cereal bowl in hand to get some milk. That was after going through a stack of 6 bowls in a row that had food baked on them by the dishwasher before finding one that was clean. Considering this breakfast cost $20 each, that's pretty appalling. I gave them immediate feedback and my wife talked about it at checkout but all we got was a feeble apology. Breakfast the next day was much better, possibly because we were down an hour earlier. If you intend to use this place as a resort and hang out in the pool, it's worth it. If you just need a place to stay while you visit Niagara Falls and/or the many excellent local wineries, I'd advise you to find a B&B a little closer to Queen Street (where all the restaurants are).
