St Julien Hotel & Spa
Reviews
I think the hotel is very expensive for a mostly standard hotel room. Pros: comfortable beds, and nice bathroom, as well as nice hot tub downstairs. Cons: Door to balcony would not totally shut so the traffic noise on Canyon facing the Flatirons (which we never saw due to snow) was quite loud. Also, the walls are thin in bathrooms and a family with children could be heard very loudly when they were in bathroom. Of course, that is not the hotel's fault. My biggest complaint was a perfume smell on some areas of the carpet. And, there is a constant fan noise in the wall near heating vent. The staff offered to move us and were nice about this but we didn't want to pay more to stay in a different type of room that was available. I have loved going to the St. Julien to hear music for many years and think it is one of the best places to go out in the summer, but not sure I would stay there again. If I did, I would stay facing Walnut.
Ok, wow, I didn't expect my boyfriend to get put up in a AAA 4 diamond hotel for his business trip. This hotel is beautiful from the outside and the king size room is gorgeous too with double doors to the bathroom and beautifully-tiled floor and shower. It's in the middle of all the hot spots for happy hour and food and a 5 minute walk from the Pearl Street Mall. From the lobby, there's access to the hotel bar and Jill's Restaurant. Hit up Jill's for their amazing Happy Hour! They have live entertainment in the evenings in the lobby and a fire going in the fireplace. There's access to the spa from the street if you're not staying at the hotel as well. There's a nice pool and a decent-sized fitness room (you have to walk by the pool to get to it) with 3 treadmills, 2-3 ellipticals, a bench with barbell, and some free weights and medicine balls too. Valet parking is really cheap! It's only $20 a day for overnight parking with in and out privileges. The guys manning the door are great; they're courteous and remember your name if you pick up your car from them.
The hotel rooms were so small, upon arrival they would not honor any of our american express platinum perks. (free upgrade, late checkout etc) After the first night we decided we couldnt do another night. We were told they would refund the night if we called Amex because amex booked it through a third party. Jennifer was extreemly rude and denied the request after spending hours tryng to deal with this on my vacation, They were dishonest, and never refunded me for the night. Very unprofessional, dishonest people BEWARE!!!!!
Fabulous place to meet friends & clients. Comfortable & there is parking!
Racist. White people in lobby, white wait staff in bar, illegal aliens cleaning bathroom, "ethnic" music always played by whites, sometimes sounds like lukewarm water, dancers leave after 2 songs. Using illegals says the St. Julien corporation enjoys besting USA tax laws, the IRS should take a closer look. The nicest part, going to the ladies room, where the illegal workers have very good manners & are very gracious, serving up clean towels. Some of the other reviews dislike the white staff. Racist. The newer reviews are much worse than the old ones -- it's trending down? Racist, awful.
