Imagos Day Spa
Reviews
Imagos day spa in Miami was once a haven of beauty and provided excellent service. However, the ownership has recently changed hands and the new owners have established inflexible policies that severely limit their ability to provide excellent customer service. My husband purchased a gift certificate for me, and they would not let me redeem it without paying an additional 30% ON TOP of the gift certificate. When I asked to be returned the amount paid for the certificate, they refused. I spoke with both the spa manager and one of the owners, Carmen, and was dismissed on multiple occasions and my phone calls were never retuned to make the appointment in a timely manner. There are plenty of good spas in Miami without needing the hassle of inflexible policies and horrible customer service.
The spa wasn't nearly as bad as other reviews say it is! The decor was nice, the staff were well trained and polite, and the atmosphere was VERY relaxing. However, I had purchased a deep tissue massage, and there was nothing "deep tissue" about it. The masseuse asked if I wanted a lot of pressure, I told her I did since I had very sore muscles. But she did not apply much pressure at all. It was more of a nice back rub with oil. She seemed like she knew what she was doing (applied proper draping techniques, etc. ) just didn't have too much strength. Either way it was an overall good experience.
My husband gave me a gift certificate for christmas for the You Deserve It package and I just recently used it and had the most relaxing experience!!! The staff was so friendly and the therapists were awesome! I had a swedish massage and a full facial and it was AMAZING! I bought some face products recommended by the facialist that have worked wonders with my skin! I will definitely be coming back very very soon!
