My family and I were looking forward to a close resort for a week long getaway before the kids went back to school. We had high expectations for this resort and it was a major disappointment. It took us about an hour and 15 minutes between the time we arrived and finally got to our room. When we walked from the lobby to a conference are to get to our tower, the smell of musty carpet almost knocked us over. It was horrible. We had to take that route every day. The second day were there we found that the button on the elevator up to our floor was GONE! Yes, just GONE. We had to walk up a dark and dingy stairwell with my family late at night to get to the second floor to take the elevator. The staff and management were aloof and never once followed up on any problem we had. We have seen many resorts in this price range and this was the worst we have seen. The resort is also in dire need of a massive renovation. The decor is a bit bizarre for a beach resort, who ever heard of a dark wood Tuscan decor for an ocean front resort? Avoid this place, don't waste your money.

this is our fifth straight year staying at the resort, so obviously we are in love! we come with a large conference but normally get our own room and try and enjoy a nonbusiness vacation as much as possible. grounds. location, and pools are world class. the staff is amazing, though obviously the subpar ones really stick out. The guys at the sushi bar, in particular Oliver and the chefs, are the most friendly and welcoming employees on property. not to mention the sushi menu is unique and probably the freshest sushi you will ever put in your mouth. The food from basically every other place was borderline terrible. The conference buffet leading the way and it is difficult to screw up blue cheese filet. horrible meat, horrible buffet in general. the atlantic grill is just ok, which is disappointing because we when we first ate their it was amazing. now, complete waste of money…though the crab bisque is worth the visit….we recommend extra roe. the front desk is normally average. very nice but slow and can cause longer lines. every once in a while you run into customer service with a attitude, This particular time involved Ibigal I believe. My boyfriend and I were separated and cell phone was dead. she refused to let us use the house phone, though it was long distance….would of been very nice of her. overall we love the resort and will turn! just thought id give you guys a heads up on observations.

This was our Honeymoon. Loved everything about this resort. We will definitely return for our anniversary. Staff was pleasant and room service was perfect. The variety of pools was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful getaway.
