I made an appointment to get a massage and guess what, they never showed! Even when their scheduling service emailed me the day before to remind me of the upcoming appointment. I even got text confirmation the day I made the appointment that MIA knew I was supposed to come in for a massage. Honestly I don't see how this business is IN business, and I would loosely use the name 'business' because they don't conduct themselves professionally. What kind of professional would schedule an appointment, have their customer drive all the way to their business, sit outside, ring the doorbell, continue to text to let them know they were there, and never show up? BEWARE of this business!!
I have a prepaid certificate for a 90 minute massage. After two weeks of calling and leaving messages, I finally got Groupon involved and then magically we finally got a callback. My appointment was with Mia. After scheduling the massage, two months went by (she had 'special' appointment dates and times for these types of prepaid certificates - and was booked out in advance.). I received a reminder email yesterday May 13th from her scheduling website stating my appointment was still on as scheduled. I traveled over 40 minutes to her location each way, and was met with a closed and locked business. When I called the provider's phone number, her message directs you to 'send a text.' I did so, and was told that my appointment had been RESCHEDULED and that she had sent a text message notifying me of this fact. I did not receive any message, and NEVER got a phone call as a follow up since there was obviously no response to her alleged text message. When I inquired as to WHEN this alleged text was sent and why her reminder scheduling system confirmed my appointment yesterday, I got zero response. My dealings with this company have been frustrating, to say the very least. They apparently like to do business via cell phone messages and text messages, obviously. Not to mention the fact that I didn't tell her to communicate with me via text to the number she allegedly texted to. When I checked my email when I got home, I found a NEW email from 8:57am on the DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT which was scheduled for 10am that day saying that my appointment had already been rescheduled to a day between 1-2 weeks away (depending if I go by what she told me when she didn't show up via text, or the actual message from her 'scheduling' website. Even the appointment date is unclear as I received two different dates. To run a business like this is completely ludicrous and laughable. In my opinion, she probably oversold the certificates and is now delaying and rescheduling them all in an attempt to wear out the person who NEEDED THE MASSAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE! I am done and over this joke of an establishment and highly recommend you avoid them. Unprofessional and, quite honestly, borderlines on fraud. I am not interested in doing any more business with this company ever.
I must say, I was surprised to see the 2 poor reviews for Spa Revolution. I, too, bought this massage coupon on Half-Off Depot and didn't get a chance to schedule until the coupon almost expired. When I went online to schedule the appointment, all the available dates to use the coupon had been taken so I emailed Spa Revolution. Mia got back with me to let me know it was okay to book beyond the expiration date, that she would still honor the coupon. Which she did. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I have even returned for additional massages. I would definitely give them a chance!
I can't speak directly to the quality of 'trade' services offered, but based on reviews they are presumably good. I did visit the studio and can say that the ambiance is also very comfortable. However, customer service seems to be somewhat lacking. Based on all of the great reviews, I had hoped to purchase a gift certificate for my wife. Between a visit to the studio, where I was unable to speak with (or even see) anyone during my 20 minute wait, a phone call that went unanswered, and an email that received no response a day later, I couldn't get hold of anyone to do business with. I understand a small business being busy, but serving potential new customers is just as important as working with existing clients. Of course, that assumes that the goal is to grow the business, which may not be the case. I certainly can't fault anyone for wanting to keep a business small and manageable, and it does seem like they have a good little thing going as-is. Nonetheless, it is a bit disappointing. We try to support small local business as much as possible, and I know my wife would have enjoyed the experience here. Unfortunately, time ran out and I had to go in another direction. I'm sure my wife will enjoy her alternate experience as well, but it doesn't have the same intimate atmosphere as this place. Anyway, so it goes sometimes...best wishes for continued success!
