Awaken Aveda Salon + Spa
Reviews
I love this salon! They make sure I am pretty AND pampered by the end of my visit. Cade is wonderful and what he does and so is the rest of his team! I highly recommend Awaken Aveda.
I am pleased with the professionalism and spa-like exerience given at Awaken. Cuts and color by Sashiko are always perfect. I am pleased by the non-toxic products which first drew me to this spa a year ago. The relaxation experienced by a therapeutic hair washing experience and free mini-facial are icing on the cake.
I'm a little surprised and sad about the poor reviews, I've always had such a wonderful experience at the salon, I'm sad for anyone who didn't get the same. I have had MANY different services at Awaken: Aveda. Abby does my hair there regularly, she's the only person I ever see and she's WONDERFUL. I've been going to her since she was a brand new "New Talent" there, and she has only got more and more talented...she even came to Savannah to do my hair AND all seven bridesmaids and my flower girl! Everyone looked fabulous, too! But back to the salon...I've had a few massages there a few times, two facials, and my eyebrows done once. The eyebrow job was the best I've ever had. I wish I remembered the name of the woman who did them, I would recommend her...she was SUCH a professional...did a truly amazing job. I'm soooo particular about my eyebrows, which is why I usually do them myself. I decided to have them done for me, before my wedding, and she really understood how important it was to me for her to do a perfect job. I can honestly say I have NEVER had a "perfect" eyebrow wax...they've come pretty close at The Wax Strip where I usually go, but never perfect...until I got them done at Aveda! They were amazing! The massages and facials I had done there were equally amazing. The best part about the salon though is the fact that EVERY service comes with some kind of little "extra". After a massage or facial, you get a lovely cheese and cracker platter with some grapes and a glass of sparkling cucumber water. Every other massage I've ever had anywhere else, all they gave me was a store brand bottled water. When I get my hair done there, I ALWAYS get a glass of white wine (occasionally two), which they offered to me my first visit. It's now become my routine! When you get your hair done, they take you back into their shampoo room for your shampooing, and it's the MOST amazing room I've ever been in....dim lights, quiet peaceful music, AMAZINGLY comfortable chairs that you actually can almost lay down in....none of that horribly uncomfortable pulling a salon chair up to a sink and hanging your head back over the sink until you get a crick in your neck! AND after your shampoo a mini-facial is included! Such a nice experience! You literally never get JUST what you pay for in there...you always get a little more! I'm such a fan of this place, I can't rave enough about it. To the folks who had bad experiences, that's such a shame that you didn't get to experience how wonderful the salon REALLY is. I can only say that I recommend you talk to the owner next time you have an issue occur...he's the nicest guy, and you can tell he cares a great deal about his business and how it is perceived. I'm sure if you had an issue with the service there for any reason, he would do what he could to rectify the situation. Just my opinion though! Anyway I'll cut this novel short...suffice it to say, I love this salon! :)
The stylist left the dye on my skin and now I have a one inch dye line below my hair line all around my head. When you leave a salon your suppose to want everyone to see how great you look.
yes you can go to the "nail shop" next door for half the price.. you can also get half the service and half your brows removed as well... thats why it is a NAIL SALON...... Best brow waxing i have ever had is at awaken. The tech takes her time and treats it like an art form. After all, you have jacked up brows you looked a little jacked until they grow back....
