Mimosa Salon Spa
Reviews
The staff a Mimosa were wonderful. Making recommendations and suggestions. No pressure to buy unnessary products or services. Ghina the owner cares about her customers. I will go back every time I am in the area.
Yuliya is incredible! Talented and experienced, NEVER disappointed after my appointments with her. A rare find. A++++++++
Poor Customer Service I wanted to treat myself to a facial and massage the day before "Mother's Day." I made this appointment in the Spa a month in advanced. The day of my appointment; I received a call informing me that time had been switched and, I needed to decide on the spot if I wanted to keep the massage or facial; there was no time for both. When I arrived I was yelled at by Gina, the manager, for parking in front of the Spa. There was a festival across the street. When I informed her that I was coming for my appointment she yelled, "you don't have an appointment here" and, demanded I identify myself! Her staff and myself stood in disbelief of the rudeness the "Manager" displayed in front of my 15 year-old daughter! Gina never apologized for her rudeness, simply stating people attending the festival had parked in front of the Spa. After driving 45 minutes to Mimosa; I did have my facial with Peggy, who was wonderful! I will NOT, however, go back to Mimosa because from the Spa Manager to the receptionist; this place is disorganized. The facial room was not ready and, I had to wait! The floor was dirty. It's no wonder my appointment time was never confirmed and mixed up! I wanted to relax Mother's Day weekend but, I was stressed over being yelled at for parking in front of the Spa. I also never got my massage! Peggy has a gift. She should cultivate it in a customer friendly environment.
I have now had two visits at Mimosa, both times to have a deep tissue massage. I was having daily headaches for over a week and felt as though they were stress related so I made an initial appointment with Peggy online (easy) briefly describing my need. When I saw her the next morning she asked me to give a little more detail regarding my headaches and we discussed the type of massage I wanted/needed. She is a former nurse, so she has some medical knowledge and understanding which I feel adds to her professionalism and ability as a massage therapist. She was kind, caring, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable with the amount of pressure she used - as I had told her not to be afraid to use a good deal of pressure. I made a second appointment for two weeks later for a full massage. (I would also like to mention that I had only one headache between visits.) My treatment with Peggy the second visit was just as pleasant and professional as the first. As she massaged me I could tell that the "knots" I had on the prior visit were about 65% less on this visit, which was a definite plus! A good massage therapist is not a replacement for a physician but they can be a wonderful intermediate!! Peggy has a new regular customer! (Her client prior to me, on my second visit, was a woman in her 90's who comes in weekly for a massage. She said it helps her sleep better. I think that is amazing!) I have not had my hair or nails done at this salon but on both visits I was treated respectfully by the other staff, the salon is set up nicely, the bathroom was clean and pleasant, and they offer refreshments while you are there. My second appointment time began about 10 minutes late but only because the prior client needed more time to dress, not because of any poor scheduling, and I was informed right away of the delay. *And, I did get my 20% off of my first visit.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Did not get the 20% discount as promised on their website for being a new client. Had a mani and pedi not too pleased. The paint looks horrble, did not have my cuticles cut and she only scrub while massaging my feet. What happen to buffing the skin with a pumice stone to make your feet feel smooth? NOT worth $55 for a mani and pedi. The the young lady at check out did not ask how was my service or experience and had the odasity to ask if I wanted to tip.. My first and last time... Gina you tried and work with me and I thank you, but when I decided to make an appoinment it was going to be with the same girl I was disappoinment with. The price is ridiculous for a Mani and Pedi. Jazzy nails does a much better job and not expensive. I'll be reporting Mimosa to the better business bureau with a submission of the picture I took of my nails.
