As a potential new member, I was excited to get an appointment. The associate at this salon made it extremely difficult to make that appointment and was very rude. I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service. If they treat potential customers that way, I can only imagine how they will treat you after you are a member.
The girl working there was nice...nothing else was positive. The business model at Planet Beach is a joke. I PURCHASED a one week membership on Groupon for $20 (a $159!). I'm not totally positive what I was paying for. I went in for a consultation and was told my "membership" included everything but mystic...fine...I asked to do hydrotherapy. The machine was broken. I asked to do the facial. They were all out of facial kits...ok.....BUT, she says, I can do it without the kit and it will save me $15. I Thought I already paid for this? NOPE! Turns out you get nickel and dimed for EVERYTHING at Planet Beach! They even force you to buy lotion before you can tan! Why have "memberships" if you have to pay for supplies on top of it? It's ridiculous. I got a useless facial and an aqua massage...I would have preferred to use my $20 bucks for a month of unlimited tanning somewhere that didn't make me buy lotion from them...sad.
When Amanda was manager this spa turned from terrible to EXCELLENT and now they have a new manager. Wat I don't understand is if they want their spa to run they shouldn't be changing the management everytime slow season hits. I thought Amanda was an AMAZING manager and did wonders to make that spa excellent..and idahochickie....y the hell do u think u should get FREE stuff?? Do u ever think that it costs money for them to run it? If they gave every FREE trials to everything they wouldn't be a very good business would they? Its not really fair that I pay for my mystic and u think u get one for free???
