Chippewa Hotel Waterfront
Reviews
Nice hotel. Service less than desired. Made a reservation and was charged for one night up front. Shortly after received an email about free dinner and breakfast for the time we were going. Called back and asked if we could get that deal they emailed us and they said no. New reservations only. Very rude people and dissatisfied with how it was handled. We have stayed there this exact time 6 years in a row plus several times throughout the summers. WILL NOT GO BACK! Same treatment at Lilac. Same owners.
The room was very clean, not a fan of the sink out in the bedroom but we did have an economy queen room. It is definitely economical, room was a bit small with all the luggage and didn't leave any extra room to get around, but again we knew it was a smaller room from the beginning. All the staff was very friendly, Josh did a great job of getting the bags from the dock to the room in a quick manner. The Pink Pony is on property and we only stopped in for drinks and apps during the middle of the day while it was raining.
The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. We had a small room facing the city, but it was cozy. The Pink Pony is an excellent restaurant, but it can be pricey. However, there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance around the hotel. The hotel even offers some coupons to try the other local restaurants and shops. The outdoor area with the bar and hot tub is fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed in a Suite, very nice and spacious. Staff was very accommodating of all requests. Beautiful view over the water. Have stayed at the larger suites in Main Street Inn, Lilac, and Lakeview, the Chippewa was the best.
