Roughly a week prior to my sweetie's 33rd birthday, she sprung her request upon me to have a pedicure with foot massage. I've not been to a spa / salon and had some recon ahead of me. I scoured the web in search of tentative venues to accommodate this occasion. We would be nearby my parents' in Lindy on that weekend. So, there was another layer of intrigue to the selection process. A search turned up several results in Amityville and the surrounding cities. Some had fancy websites, others offered exotic sounding packages; glitz and glamor. Soho was amongst the two choices I narrowed it to. Their presence seemed earnest and realistic. I chose to dial them over the other salon with a nifty rich content webpage. Sarah answered cheerfully and was very helpful amidst the sounds of an active and bustling salon - this was a good sign. I'd set an appointment for the 24th of January after reviewing the spa pedicure options available. She opted for the one just below the top tier pedicure package. As an added treat, I invited Mom to join us. On the day of our arrival, the spa was just as active as I imagined from the background of the phone call. We were greeted very warmly and the present clients appeared lifted as their manicures neared completion. Mom opted for a foot massage, and upper / lower back massage. Yes, as sweetie was asked to choose her color, I was coerced to enjoy a pedicure as well... The entire experience was a balance of adventure with relaxation and soothing aroma from the foot bath and steam treatment. It was everything she'd imagined, and what I never knew to expect. How was I to expect that after such an experience I'd feel as if I were floating, or walking on clouds? The visit was entirely positive and the team sustained a family close-knit connection. Cheers to Zhang, Michael, Aymee, and Sarah. Admittedly I've forgotten a few other names. My sweetie was impressed, satisfied, elated, and very relaxed. Xiexie to Soho Beauty Spa! ^.^
