Joseph Christopher Salon & Spa

My fiancé gets her hair cut here and she loves it. In fact I'm writing this review because she said, and I quote, "Every woman needs to know about this place. They are simply wonderful. My hair has never looked so beautiful. You need to write a review for them!" If that's not a glowing review then I don't know what one looks like.
Very nice salon/spa and the staff is excellent and very helpful. I live in the south of France so only visit NY about once a year but always make sure I have my hair cut while there.
A VERY LOVELY PLACE WITH ATMOSPHERE TO BOOT.I HAVE AND WOULD RECOMMEND TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS .
I wouldn't let anyone else cut my hair. Worth every penny!
It's an okay experience--the people are very nice. Don't like the art of beauty thing each and every time, it's uncomfortable for everyone. I understand it's their thing, but after awhile, it's kind of well, cheesy. I've been to several upscale spas all over the U.S. and though the atmosphere is nice, I can't seem to get them to understand what I want. They seem to want to do want they want--their idea of beauty--instead of what the customer feels. I'll keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I believe they should be a bit more open to listening to their customers. If you do attempt to say that you don't like this or that, they make a big loud production of it, so the customer is feeling embarrassed or put on the spot. I don't think they mean to, I just think that that they don't know any better. I'm pretty happy with my haircut, but I can't seem to get across to the colorists that I do not want any red tones, brassiness or warm tones....so not sure. I've not had this problem with salons before and I'm new to the area. At least their salon looks nice--that's difficult to find on Long Island.
