Moedim Day Spa
Reviews
I visited Moedim yesterday with my boyfriend for a couple's harmony massage- public thanks to him for that treat. It was wonderful, and the staff were very welcoming, warm, and friendly. We certainly left feeling deliciously relaxed and happy. Also, they were wonderful about getting back to me over the phone and finding a way to schedule us in on short notice. Despite their limitations in having renovations going on (which only affected some aesthetics, not the noise level), they managed to make us feel very cared for. I got the impression that they genuinely cared about what they do and their customer's experience. For me, that goes a long way. Besides all that, I think they have magic fingers. :)
I bought a Groupon for this Spa when they had them out. I called and left several messages because nobody ever answered me and never got a call back. It was supposed to be my mom's mother's day gift and we ended up having to go somewhere else but I still called. I even went by the place and they were closed. It expired, but I still have the value to use. Still 2 years later after sporadic calling/stopping by I still can't get a call back from these people at all. I guess they don't want my service at all.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Moedim Day Spa. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It was a welcoming and relaxing environment. It has recently undergone many renovations as well. My husband and I enjoyed a couples massage together, and we left feeling very relaxed. We will definitely return, and we highly recommend this spa.
This was possible the WORST spa experience i have ever had. i went to the one of Ashley Phos. my boyfriend got me a christmas special they were having, $40 for a facial, hand massage and back massage in three different sessions (with a free beverage!) my appointment was at 2pm on the 23rd of December and we arrived at 1:45. it is BRIGHT orange, think construction worker orange. and they had silver pleather furniture. not my thing but whatever, maybe the were going for a modern look. well the sheet rock in the hallway is cracked and peeling at the bottom and the door to the waiting room had no door knob, just a hole where the knob should be. the man at the front desk asked if i would like some water and i said i did. he never came back. also, after he showed me to the waiting room he gave me a 3 minute sales pitch, NOT RELAXING. the last thing i want went i go in for a spa treatment is to be given a pushy used-car salesman-esque pitch. he finally left me alone (but still never came back with my water). at 2:30 i went in for my facial, half and hour after it was scheduled. the lady was nice but the facial was pretty terrible. no massage, no steam, she actually used her fingers to get the black heads, not the extraction tool like they are supposed to. she then just kept applying toner to my face, over and over again. my face was starting to feel a little raw but i thought it was just from the exfoliation scrub she used. when it was finished i was shown to the waiting room again and offered my free beverage. was it wine? coffee? tea? nope, Great Value Lemonade, but i had the choice of cherry or lemon flavored!! for a place with extremely high prices on their website it was a dump and very low class. not upscale like you would think after looking at their website. i am not sure where all the great reviews came from on their site, i think they probably write them to promote themselves. also, i had a horrible reaction to whatever the lady put on my face and my face has been red, peelings and horribly dry. i have several facials every year for at least the past 10 years and i have never had a reaction. if you are looking for wallet-friendly spa treatments i suggest Zen Massage on Rivers Ave. i have had facials and full body massages and they are always fabulous and muuuuuch cheaper than Moedim. Zen has a classy upscale and professional environment. my boyfriend is calling today and asking for our money back. it was $40, but that will buy you a one hour massage at Zen. also, i wonder if the people at Moedim are licensed?? i have never been to a less professional place. please stay away.
The masseuse has her heart in the right place but, overall, didn't know what she was doing. I asked to be treated for pain in a specific area but I got a very general massage that didn't focus on that area whatsoever. Left feeling slightly more relaxed but the discomfort was still present and ended up having to go to another spa in order to get some relief. Massage was very repetitive, there was no variation of strokes or methods and the massage wasn't personalized at all. The atmosphere was nice but I'd definitely go somewhere else to get a massage
