After reading the reviews, decided to see Flo for a hair color. She gave me thin yellowey highlights (think early 2000s) and supposedly lowlights as well, only I can't see them. $190 later I look almost the same, but worse. I think I have to go somewhere to get it fixed.

I tried to book a massage and facial from a gift certificate I got at Christmas but they do not have any massage therapists currently at this location. The gal on the phone is very rehearsed in saying "we are currently hiring for a massage therapist" and was very quick to get me off the phone and not offer any other options. Needless to say, I have a $200 gift card and can not use it for the services I'd like :(

The most positive experience I have EVER had at a salon in Calgary. Reception: The staff at the front desk were warm, welcoming, and attentive when I walked in to inquire about finding a new stylist. Based on what I wanted done, they recommended I schedule a consultation with Flo (their senior stylist). Flo: Everything I was looking for in a new stylist. Friendly, caring, and a GOOD LISTENER. I showed her a few pictures of the look I was after, and was relieved to hear her describe to me EXACTLY what I wanted. She immediately recognized what I wasn't happy with myself in my current style and made suggestions as to how she could change it. Her appointments actually run on time (rare from my experiences at other salons). 2.25 hours for a full head of foils, cut and styling-and I have long hair! She even took the time to show me how to curl my hair with the flat iron. My hair color and cut turned out perfectly....exactly what I wanted....and I've got so many compliments on it since. Eveline Charles has certainly gained a faithful client based on their impecible customer service, and Flo's talent.

I was a little afraid after reading the other reviews but I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at EC. When i called for the appointment the person on the line knew the answer to every question I had and was very helpful. It was my first time at EvelineCharles and didn’t know what stylist to get - I was paired with Flo and even after all of my questions she seemed like a perfect match. When i got there the receptionist was very pleasant and got me a refreshment while I waited. Flow came and got me and did a fabulous job! She looked at the picture I brought in. - Listened to me - which is an awesome characteristic for a hair dresser. She totally did the picture I brought in and also helped me learn how to used different tools to style it different ways - as i brought in a few pictures of styles of curling and straightening that I wanted to know how to do. She was very considerate and cut my hair longer than the picture - "we can always go shorter"-. Over all a great experience for me... and I have had an amazing hairdresser but i moved too far away so I needed a new one. Hope that helps.

I am not sure who they think they are but the staff at this particular location (South Centre) are down right rude. I walked in hoping to book an appointment for the following week. The 5 girls standing behind the counter were in a deep conversation about the last boyfriend and completely ignored myself and the 2 other woman waiting. They were aware that we were standing there because they managed to look over (basically down their nose) and just sorted of smirked at us. This went on for 5 minutes before one of they decided to ask what it was that we wanted. When I indicated that I would like to book an appointment with a Senior Stylist her response was "Really...are you sure about that? You do realize that the more senior they are the more in costs?" I had nothing to respond, I turned around and walked out. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.
