I don't know how south location is but definitely DO NOT GO TO NORTH SIDE SOPHIE'S NAILS! Address:8106 112 Ave NW Edmonton, AB T5B 4W4 They hurt my nails and broke one. They still charge $20 for such bad service. The manicure artists there speak poor english and their attitude made me FEEL BAD! I don't feel treated as a customer. Anyway, my nail was bleeding and they don't clean my blood and just leave it like that! what the heck? Finally I asked for bandage so they gave me one. You can hurt my nails but my bleeding nail may be infected by bacteria. They just ignored it until I asked for alcohol to clean my nail and their TOOLS ARE NOT CLEAN.
I have recently just started going to Sophie's nails, and I must say I love it. I see a girl named Raychel and she is amazing. I have really bad eczema and most places i have gone cause my nails to flare up and my skin to be agitated. When I first saw Raychel she listened to my concerns and was very gentle with my hands and nails. So i have never had my eczema flare up when i am with her. And as a Bonus she is very caring and super nice, and is really great at her job. I will be coming back to see her in particular, but all and all this is a great place to go. The staff works hard and keeps the place really sanitary and does a fantastic job -Ashley
I called to book an appointment for a mani and pedi before my wedding and was received with horrible costumer service. The gentlemen I spoke with was rude and inconvenienced by my questions. He then hung up on me, while I was in mid-sentence about what I; and my bridal party wanted done. We will not be coming here for the wedding or any other event! with service so rude and inexcusable I will NOT recommend the salon to anyone. I will be telling all who ask me to go else where. This is not acceptable costumer service!
I enjoyed my time in Sophie's nails immensely. It was a wonderful and luxurious, and my always-sore lower legs and feet felt divine afterward. I am going to absolutely go back. I am even planning on going back to get my fingernails done soon.
I have been to Sophie's Nails many times for pedicures & manicures. I have experienced great customer service during all of my visits. I have recommended this salon to many people (15+). The staff did an excellent job and showed great professionalism in their work. However, my opinion of Sophie's Nails has changed drastically since my last visit. I went in for a pedicure on June 30,2012, hoping to receive the same level of satisfaction that I was used to. Everything was going well until the employee started shaving off the dead skin with a razor. I normally get this procedure done with every pedicure. While the employee was doing this, I noticed that it was taking an abnormally long time. I let them continue, trusting that they knew what they were doing. Once the shaving was done, the nail polish and design was applied. I always get a design with my pedicure because they have always done them very well and I always get compliments on it. The design that was done this time, however was very poorly done and it was something that I could have done at home myself. I left the salon very unhappy. Once I got home, I noticed that my feet were burning and I could not stand. I was experiencing excruciating pain on my heels. I applied lotion and ice to relieve the pain, however nothing relieved the pain. Since it was the long weekend, I had to wait one day to go speak to someone at the salon. I went in to speak to someone on Monday, July 2, hoping to let them know what had happened. I was able to talk to someone right away and they listened to my problem. They agreed that too much skin was taken off. Another employee also checked my heels and agreed that too much was taken off. The employee who did my pedicure then came to check my heels. They advised that they had to take that much skin off because I had a lot of dead skin. I told them that I could not even stand for prolonged periods because of the pain. The employee suggested that I apply lotion and wait a few days. I was not satisfied with their answer and I asked if they could compensate or have any consideration for this unfortunate event. The employee said no and that I was " just another customer." At this point, I was very upset and told the employee that I will not come back to the salon, and the employee said that was fine. I was told that the salon is very busy and that my lost business did not matter. The employee was being very rude and inconsiderate. The least they could do was re-do the design, but that was not even done. This was not the standard of customer service that I am used to a Sophie's Nails. I was hopeful that they would be considerate and accept the fault instead of providing lame remedies and excuses. I really enjoyed going to Sophie's Nails and it saddens me that I will not be going back because of the way I was treated. I will be telling my circle of influence to refrain from going to this salon.
