Shear Paradise Salon

Michaelene is amazing for nails! So gentle for mani and pedi. Plus she is a magician with acrylic products and colors.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SALON!!!!! Cathy, the owner, is GREAT! She's so nice and always says how much she appreciates me...not my business, but me! And she'll explain anything you want to know. Becky, the aesthetician / cosmetologist I see is PHENOMENAL! She's sweet, she understands what you want as her client and has all the latest in skincare! Love her! Kirsten seems to be working every time I come in and she's always in the best mood. She finds time to talk, even if it is super busy. I think, overall, the best thing about Shear Paradise is the fact that I always feel comfortable walking in the door. Judgement does not exist here!! And I know all you ladies out there know what I'm talking about...when we walk into a salon and realize right away that we are being talked about and judged and it's a place we just don't fit in?!?! NOT HERE!!! I recommend trying them out :)
When you think a hair dresser ruins your hair that much, maybe it's just your hair really needed all that help! (for those of you who rated poor-fair) Anyhow, I most definitely needed the attention that I received when I got there. It had been over a year since I had a decent hair cut. Only because it took me that long to find this salon! Had I known they were there before, they would have helped me out a long time ago. My over-all experience was amazing!!! I am going to go back for more of their services!!1 The girls who did my hair was awesome! I explained to her what I wanted, and then I showed her pictures similar to that style, and she hit it right on the mark. I don't know how any of you are with your hair, but let just say that she brought tears to my eyes!!! This Salon has given me the greatest hair experience of my life and I highly recommend them for hair! (: on my way to get tanned now!! I will review again about their tanning!!! :)
Went to have the split ends trimmed and a spiral perm. Told the hairdresser the size rods I wanted, but obviously she had something different in mind. I ended up with over two inches of my length on the floor, with a layered cut I didn't have and didn't ask for, and an afro! I contacted the manager the very next day in tears and they offered to give me a "deep condition treatment". What is that going to do? I now have a style I can't stand. I have lost so much hair and continue to lose it everytime I style it. My hair is so dry! I would NEVER GO HERE EVER AGAIN! Take my advice and RUN! By the way,...I before this place touched my hair I had such thick hair I had to use two large hairties to put it up. Now,...I can use one average sized tie and its still comi g out in my wide toothed comb in handfulls! HEEELLPPP! 3/25/13 update: we to a hairdresser to ha e deep conditioning. She suggested I go to the board and report the woman who did my hair. According to her, my hair is mostly broken off approximately an inch from my scalp. My hair is so damaged, she suggested ha I g it cut short so my hair can grow out. She also has me taking biotine to help my hair come back in healthy. I can't stress this enough,....don't ever go here!
Ruined the experience of my baby's first hair cut. I would never step foot into this salon again. The lady was rude and it looks like a weed whacker was used to cut my sons hair. To top it off she blamed her poor job on him having "thin hair"...Save your money and do it yourself if you want to have a bad haircut. It's worse than walmart cuts.
