The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead
Reviews
One of my favorite hotels anywhere, I have been visiting here since 1990 and my recent stay was very nice. I love the staff at most all Ritz Carlton's and I am a strong supporter of their employee mantra "Ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen". My recent stay was no exception. The hotel is still beautiful inside and out. The staff was courteous and professional at all levels, from the auto valets to the front desk. They are very welcoming and professional at all times. My "standard" room (non suite, open floor) was very dated and in need of upgrading, both decor and furniture. But the bed was outstanding and the other features in the hotel were top notch, as usual. I am especially fond of the Bar off the main lobby, and the fitness center is one my favorites anywhere. I always recommend this hotel to friends and business associates. In all my years of recommending, and having dozens and dozens of people stay, I have not heard one complaint. The consistency here is amazing. Some say that with all the new hotel construction in Buckhead (Mandarin, St Regis, Inter-Continental) that The Ritz is no longer THE hotel in which to stay. Not for me. Even with a room that is a little out-of-date, this is the hotel for me in Atlanta. Why no five star rating? On this visit, the hotel was not full. I was offered no upgrades to Club Level. In the bar, the appetizer ordered was poor. I was offered nothing as a replacement or even an apology. It is the small things. On this last trip they fell short. I am sure it will not happen again.
The best hotel in the Buckhead area! I regularly travel to Atlanta and previously stayed at the JW Marriott in Buckhead. If the Ritz is available, then I will always book my room with this hotel. The front desk staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean with hardwood floors and granite countertops. The room is also well-lit and the beauty products have a nice scent. The only downside is the valet service is lackluster; however, self park is connected to the Ritz and you can walk directly into the back doors.
Amazing. After driving for 17 hours to a family vacation my fiance and I decided to stop for the night. The people at check in were so polite and courteous. Having never been in Atlanta we asked the concierge of a good place to go for diner. They of course offered the restaurant onsite, but we wanted something the locals go to and the concierge picked an amazing restaurant for us and set up the reservation. Beds were so comfortable and I adored the interior deco of the hotel. The only negative I could say about the hotel is that the outside looks dated but once you step in you see the grace and elegance that you'd expect from a Ritz.
I have never stayed in hotel so many employees that are willing to help out on everything. This place has raised the bar on exceptional service.
Excellent accommodations. Rooms are very clean and the service is great. Very convenient of you want to shop at the mall or have a nice dinner.
