Mary and her girls did my hair, my moms, and 4 bridesmaids hair for my wedding. We all looked AMAZING!! She was able create the exact up-do I wanted and it stayed all night. I received compliments on my hair from everyone through out the evening. My bridesmaids loved their hair as well. In 3 hours they pulled off a miracle! I highly recommend This salon for your wedding hair, they were creative and listened to what we wanted. I wish I could post a picture. Very impressive.

I’m normally not one to complain about a hair cut because it will grow back, but I feel like I was ripped off in regard to the amount of money I spent in comparison with the quality of the haircut I received. I could have gotten the same level of quality going to Supercuts or Great Clips and spent $15 less. I’m not saying that every one of their “stylists” are incompetent, but I would question their definition of competence after knowing they employ the person that just butchered my head. While it is true that they had a friendly atmosphere that is not nearly enough to run a successful salon.

I'm not sure why there are two reviews with only one star. I have had such excellent experiences with the staff as well as the level of service at Jem's. I moved to the Bloomington-Normal area in June of 2011. I moved from a larger city out of state and I was having the hardest time trying to find a salon and a stylist that could comprehend the specific style I wanted, the price I was willing to spend, and all in all, a good experience that would make me want to come back. Needless to say, I have been coming to Jem's since shortly after my move and LOVE IT!! I would trust and highly recommend any and ALL of the girls here, whether it is for my hair, nails, face, or body; they can master it! On a side note, if you're looking for an amazing massage, YOU NEED TO SEE NICOLE, she is amazing!!!

Jem's Hair Studio is the PERFECT place to go if you are wanting everyday to be a good hair day! I have went to salons all over the Champaign and Bloomington area and none of them gave me the satisfaction that I go when I went to Jem's! I went in with an idea in my head of what I wanted and they went above and beyond my expectations! Not only did they do a great job with the color, cut, and style but they are the friendliest and most helpful group of beauticians that I have ever met! I will definitely be going here from now on, NO doubt! Bani was my stylist and she did a phenomenal job! I have got more compliments on my hair in the past few months than I have my entire life. Needless to say, I highly recommend Jem's for anyone who is looking for a great hair do and experience. Not to mention, one that is easy on the pocket book!
