I visited the Holden Spa for the first time yesterday and was so pleased. It is a small, friendly place, with freshly painted lovely old tin ceiling and mellow-yellow walls with nice art. The wide store front windows let in lots of light. The service was cheerful and welcoming to this out-of-towner. The Spa might seat 30 at several small tables and a pine counter with stools. The menu is ample and supplemented by daily specials; the only thing I wished to find were some nice home-made desserts. They are open M-Th 6:30a-3p, Fri 6:30a-9p, and Sat-Sun 7-2. The Friday night specialty is fish and chips, there are other specialties and BYOB. If I lived in Holden I'd be a regular!
